The idea of a powerful and effective auto-attacker in the Archer tree was and is especially appealing to me. Currently at best you can auto attack for about one third to half as much damage—usually on a single target—as many later skills hit on large scale AoE. This makes auto-attacking somewhat of a non-option. I’m proposing that that be changed through the synergism of two skills that already exist in the Archer tree.
These skills seem like they should make auto-attacking more viable, but surprisingly they don’t:
Running Shot, Quarrel Shooter circle 3 skill, “Allows you to attack while moving quickly. Increases attack speed and deals additional damage when using basic attacks.” At level 5 this skill increases damage by 200%.
Limacon, Schwarzer Reiter circle 1 skill, “While riding, boosts your mobility and shoots the enemies. When Limacon effect is active, a pistol normal attack is possible.” At level 15 (circle 3) this skill increases damage by 190%.
Most people or at least myself would assume “normal attacks” and “basic attacks” are the same thing, however at the moment that isn’t the case, but I think it should be! What do you guys think?
