Swordsman, too many castable skills

Sword2/Barb2

My build has all of the “buff” skills from swordsman and no direct damage skills.
Restrain/ gungho/concentrate.
Then I have Frenzy and I wil take Warcry.

The duration on these is VERY BAD, i feel like i am playing a wizard because of the amount of casting I have to do.

Can we please get away with this and just make MOST of these skills passive?
Concentrate and Frenzy SHOULD be passive. So should Restrain.
I can see how GungHo and Warcry should be castable.

Maybe not passive but faster cast time instead. I think it’s part of the difficulty of dealing decent DPS while maintaining your buffs in middle of a bossfight though…

Since you want to have the buffs up before you attack, you have to time them at times when the boss might be doing an aoe. This system makes it a bit more difficult to keep your dps up.

no, swordsman dont need to be buffed further, keep in mind that theres a buff limit, you can only have 5 buffs on at any given time, so at higher level you have to pick which ones are more important in what situations

Try playing an actual Wizard.

Meaning that all of these would turn on all the time, giving swordman class more power just from those alone. Restrain having a chance to proc stun plus frenzy and concentrate giving you a a good chunk of damage, and all of these just being passive would turn into a disaster. In fact, it would be a class for no brainer. Pick Swordsman, press Z, click, click I don’t give a damn, max level, ez life. So no, it’s fine just the way it is.

Heh, I see my buffs as emergency plans. Rarely need them.

I think the reason is precisely this, to know when to use them… And don’t try to keep them 100% of the time. (Otherwise they would obviously be passive.)

On the contrary I think we got to few skills.

And just like @drake_tempestos said - The key is to knowing when to utilize them to get the best result.
Making them passive would only take away player knowledge and player skill to make this game even more AFKable.

There is never too much skills. :ok_hand:

Meanwhile, wizards are having too little skills.

Seems you haven’t ever played a wizard lmao. Swordmans have tons of damage buffs and you still want them to be passive? Try other classes before complain please

:classname: have too many castable skills, IMC pls make them all passive auras :sarcasm:

that was a generalization.
but yes, poor choice of words on my behalf.

I think most of swordmen’s skills should be Insta-cast.
