Swordsman favoritism?

I thought dashing was used for running up and stealing other peoples quest items they need to gather.
At least that what I mostly use it for.

How about removing the class system and making a single human job where you can learn all of the skills available? Does that sound fair enough?
People complain anywhere.

I just came here to fix the thread title. It should be “Barbarian favoritism?”.

No, seriously. All classes ask for a different play style… And swordsmen need to reach their target old-fashioned (or run from them).

I like to think I’m an ignorant and rekless swordsman… That sometimes is forced to run cuz of one miscalculation (or complete lack of it). This would never happen with another class, for sure.

I did some pvp against archers before as a monk. Went bad…very bad…no killing was done at all. Slows and push back arrows kept me from killing him and safety zone and heal kept him from killing me. Think there should be a compromise here

C2 Monk gets Energy beam, when C3 monk is introduced… God help us all :frowning:

A. If you eat a CC you most likely deserve to be CC’d because of your stupidity.

B. If there wern’t CC’s than there would be no need for support classes.

C. If you eat Energy beam without being affected by some sort of CC - You should delete your account.

Cant really avoid a squires arrest skill though, Arrest 5 guys, lower their physical defense by a crap tonne, inc monks laserbeam of doom.

While I’m not so sure about the swordsman favoritism, I do agree with the fact that the other classes need something too. For example, this is my idea:

Archers could get a backstep that consumes a fixed amount of stamina, let’s say 3, each time they do it plus an additional 2 if they choose to attack while doing so.
Mages could get a blink that grants them some degree of invulnerabilty while in effect, but saps their stamina and uses up a bit of SP, like 5 or 6 stamina plus 10 or so SP per use.
Clerics could get a small dash, a hop so to say, that consumed 2 STA per use.

Swordsmen would keep their sprint as it is, and the other classes would also be more appealing with some extra manoeuvrability.

Archer is easy to catch but mage that properly jump+auto can kite all day ;p

Swordsman can get absolutely monster-tier block and can just hold C all day and take no damage unless they get hit with magic though.

They also have 3x the HP growth on the other class, having a higher growth is fine but both mages and clerics only get a 1.4~1.5x growth over swordsman (who have the lowest) and all these things, higher HP, able to sprint, it’s all because without them they’d die too easy against certain bosses because they have to get so close.

Sprints honestly fine on swordsman. It just seems kinda lazy they didn’t think of anything to inherently build into other classes. I don’t think it would change much balance if they gave every class sprint, but make it cost twice as much for the other classes per second running.

yeah but other classes (archer/priest) recieve more growth from spirit, which is block peneration.

@njkooper

In a perfect world, there are many wombo combos, some may work better than others depending on the situation but lets face it, most people with the slightest sort of common sense won’t stack up and zerg to begin with.

Oh and btw // Cure, Indulgentia, Prophecy, Safety Zone - says hello.

Thats the thing, people are screaming SWORDSMEN OP constantly atm, but will it remain the same @ lvl 300? 400? 500? 600? I think it will alternate alot. Especially as we dont know how well some skills will scale (The 50% wizard C3 one for example might be OP as hell yet) and what CC/Anti-CC skills classes will gain yet as we havent got the full list of them OR anything about the hidden classes. Alot can change. So far swordsmen being OP for lvl 1-100 isnt game breakingly unbalanced. Hell in the long run it wont even matter.

Holy fk those are some terrible suggestions, that would literally kill PvP and make any melee class forever-kited.

Archers and Mages would be skipping around all over the place, those costs are too small.

Do people not realize that the stagger mechanic exists in this game?
