My current build is Swordsman 2 -> Highlander 2 -> ??? -> Fencer 3.
However idk which of the two between swordsman 3 and barb 1 or anything else for that matter would be better into Fencer 3.

I say sword 3.
Concentrate is a really good buffs that works with all attacks, especially well with multi hits, which you have alot of with highlander n fencer. Better restrain for cc which can be useful in pve, not just pvp. You get 10 more seconds of PB (with attribute) which is something that just can’t be replaced elsewhere. The attribute itself is great if you don’t wanna put 5 more points into PB. Double slash is a good skill, ok damage, good range, and the crit attribute is really noticeable, it reallly make DS crit so much more.
Only good thing about barb1 is cleave. The crit bonus is nice but fencer already has like 3 skills(?) that reduce crit res. Fencer makes crit easier plus you have DS and Moulinet which have crit attributes. Cleave also gives bonus slash dmg but fencer only has 1 slash skill. You can stun with restrain so you can do without helm chop. Embowel and stomping foot are nothing without wild nature.

Sword3 = Maxed P.Barrier (plus attribute bonus). Maxed GungHo or Concentrate (depends on your stat build). Maxed Restrain (benefits multihit/spam skills the most which Fencer has). Double Slash pairs well with Lunge.
Barb1 = Cleave slash debuff seems to be the only good thing with Barb1 that benefits your whole build IMO.
Between the two, Sword3 wins for me.
