Yes i’m aware of this, we’ll see, maybe it just doesn’t upgrade the time of the buff with each level, so Stomping kick seems better for knocking down? What about the AoE is it good?
You can save skill points if you advance in the same class yes but not if you change class.
I hit like 10 enemies with it before, so I’d say it’s pretty damn good.
The AoE isn’t that big but not that hard to hit either if you manage to stack the enemies up nicely.
I made the same experience with Pain Barrier. There are bosses that knock you down or otherwise and if you can prevent that it means the difference between life and death.
I was thinking that “Pain barrier” should give an extra status bonus that can’t be upgraded with attributes, something like
Bonus: When the skill is activated as a buff the character gains +1% additional DEF for each skill level
So, maximum additional def is 10% if you are swordman cycle 2 or 15% if you are swordman cycle 3.
With this we could have a reason to activate and invest points into pain barrier also it would be useful for tanky swordmans, it isn’t a game breaking bonus, right?
Also the buff lasts like 20 seconds or something like that.
I realize that the 2 skills are inherently different from each other since Pain Barrier doesn’t protect you from being stun-locked.
But ignoring hard CC for a long duration sounds a bit over the top, even if it only counts for stun and knockdown. For some classes the hard CC is all they have and if you bait them into wasting it on your barrier then that might be a huge blow already.
Not sure whether the skill needs buffs or nerfs, but I just want to point this out.
I do know what it does, and what “Endure” did in Ragnarok online.
I was pointing out that you almost never use Pain barrier for PVE purposes, at least endure was handy for mobbing with knights/crusaders, that’s all.
Yea I haven’t seen many mobs trying to stun me. And even when I was once asleep or stunned by a mob it never made a big difference. In boss fights it’s quite useful tho.
For a swordsman i believe you do not need any attacking skills, so its best to just use Gungho, Concentrate, Pain Barrier(For Pvp). But it really depends on what type of build you are going for!
Thank you all, it was very helpfull!
