Lower dps than him cuz mobs wearing cloth ammor and have over 100k hp, and as i said, ā€œin grindingā€ only. Kill single mob, i can do faster but a lot of mobs at a same time? Nah…

the grief about swordie is all about the non existent damage scaling you fkn retard. which render the class useless post 200 maps. also to point out that the only acceptable swordie build in a pt are the ones with swashbuckling and even that can be covered by cryomancer c3, despite having 80% of the subclasses geared towards damage dealing (which of course is bs since no dmg scaling)

Hey dude, don’t listen to all the trash talkers here. seems like most of them are just salty or they dont understand your point. maybe they are just here to protect their builds or maybe they just don’t understand mmo-rpg’s that well.

Let me start off by saying: there is indeed a real problem in the ToS community - it seems some people are uneducated about role playing games and choose to go against their class natural formation/progression and game-style TOO EARLY.
I notice this is happening mainly to clerics & swordies: it seems a lot of players want to forcefully mold them into something they are obviously not at THIS POINT OF THE GAME.

Please note that i am NOT saying they will never be that thing you hope them to be, but its obviously not the case at the moment.

One can argue that going against your natural role can be really fun and people should try and experiment on unique builds from time to time. That’s true BUT sadly the time is not now - the game is still in early stages and under heavy development in both pve and pvp + many unbalanced, unexplained and bugged skills + most future ranks are unknown and may change a lot of things.

This situation has made the current ā€˜meta’ a very harsh one, and very limited in its needs. future updates will HAVE to deal with these problems, and create a more balanced game, where people can create a cool swordie dps and or healer monk or damage dealer paladin, or whatever other cool & unique ideas they have. but who knows what the future holds? so, for now we can only dream.

Meanwhile, please don’t act surprised when others outside your guild don’t want to carry your experimental class in end-game.

The selling point of this game is that there will be no traditional dps , tank . healer . onlly one class can be healer but the more tanks that the traditional one.so far the game failing its one good point.

you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT - and this is one of the main problems ToS has
at the moment, and i think it will take a couple of months to fix. meanwhile, we should stick to the meta.

It will be never fixed . they need to remake swordsman from 0. Give str more dps will help nothing.swordsman is not the only one useing it.

Swordies are good for farming and solo play that i agree with! But during end game content (Earth Tower) and World Bossing swordies are always being carried. Thats from my personal experience as a level 250 Dopple

There’s a gross redundancy when any pathing for swordsman who’s main purpose is to deal raw damage, is being called the ā€œwrong class pathā€. That’s incredibly stupid, and you should feel bad for having that kind of thought process.

Also no, I didn’t come here to harass. But ignorant comments like this make me saltier than Diablo’s balls.

You’re siding with or defending someone who has the following logic:

Really? Give up a class with more than half of its rank selection leaning towards DPS?

If swordsmen were meant to be tank, why not design the class from the start solely for that purpose? Maybe just skills that increase aggro, evasion, blocking, def, magic def, hp - just nooooo offensive skills?

That’s why people provide criticisms and feedback - to IMPROVE the game past its current state.

When no one complains or has suggestions, the devs will think the game’s all balanced and sh**.

that’s also why i think what melfice was saying has truth in it, and why i made my point along side his. because OVER ALL i think hes trying to convey people of some real truths about the game at this point and time.

anyways… its kinda sad they actually released such a cool game so unbalanced and underdeveloped… makes me wonder why they did that… but i am optimistic about the future… and i hope to see real change in about 2-3 months.
