As the title reads, is that build even feasible? The goal is to have a Templar who can tank and maybe do some damage. Or can you guys suggest of a better build?

Drop out hoplite, it’s useless on C1… only C2 for finestra.
better have Swordie C2 for 20% stun chance on attacks.
aswell as better dmg with gung ho, and Concentrate.
you will also gain attribute for ‘Thurst’ which will do bleeding.
or another rank of peltasta for better swashbuckler, and high guard. so you can end up tanking dungeons / bosses easly.
going for hoplite one for 1h spear attribute, bad finestra stats and uptime
and decent dmging skills… i don’t like this personally… C2 or nothing.

But I really wanted the idea of being a shield-bearing Cata. If I drop Hop, then I won’t be able to do it with Cata being a 2h-only spear.

When you say I should get C2 Hop, you mean you say, I should sacrifice my Cata3 right? Do Hop2 > Cata2 instead of Hop1 > Cata3 Am I correct?
It would make you weaker to go Hop2 > Cata2. this is incorrect…
You can still be a shield bearer cata. It’s simple - Weapon swap.
when you’re mobbing, you use swash buckler, with 1handed sword + shield.
weapon swap into 2handed spear, and use your offensive abilities.
I do the same for my pelt1 >barb3. I’m tanking for my group and able to block bosses attacks, and 100% of physical dmg.
when the situation is in control, and I no longer need to hold C.
I swap into 2handed and finish off the remaining monsters.
you will only gain from going cataparcht c3. RUSH is really good.
if people ask me it’s Cata3 or no cata at all.

I just made an alt charater for templar, at least for the situation for guild battle improve(guild leader apply to ALL of your characters).

This is an all rounder build which is nice. Can pvp/GVG with ease.
It’s either Sw3>CataC3>temp or Sw>pelt>Hop>CataC3>Temp don’t even think on going SW2>Hoplite2>Cata3. RUSH AND LVL 15 Trot is the must important skills of a Cataphract. Weapons Can later be socketed with gems to counter lvl 5 finestra

Let’s say a full CON templar, is it ok for pel1>hop1>cata3, or pel3>hop1>cata1.
Most build I saw is Pel3>Squire2>Templar. Squire only for money making but doesn’t help much in PvP/GvG? If Guild leader doesn’t necessary be present during GvG then just make alt character squire to earn silver xD.
I stop leveling my swordsman because not sure which route to go.

Squire is pain in the ass to level. Also if you want to cata, its cata3 or no cata at all.
people always say that, but i don’t having 10 seconds downtime on trot is all that bad.
