You might want to consider going Cataphract for the ability to use 2 handed great spear. Doing this gives you a huge amount of raw damage increase. Also you can ride a mount!
Ditto on the Cataphract. If you’re aiming for a crit build, mounting will give you a flat bonus based on your companion’s stats.
