Swash Buckling problems :<

Hello~
I’ve been playing my peltasta for a while, but there are things I just can’t figure out by myself.

I see many tanks who just use Swash Buckling, press C and stay like that till SB is over. No problems with agro, mobs and bosses targets them like there is no tomorrow.
I don’t really want to play this passive, but hey, no matter how I try, I loose agro right away. Sometimes it’s even 1-2 seconds after using SB - boss will turn my side and then turn back to dps right away. Sometimes I use SB and enemies (bosses mostly) doesn’t seem to notice at all. WTH?
I have swardsman Provoke attribute maxed and active.

Any ideas what can be wrong here?

you need to hit the monster for provoke to work

here bro, max it and use Swash every time u can.

I play Sw1 > Pelt 1 > Hop 3 and never lose aggro.

@guuheraffa as I said, I have it maxed already ;p

@Smash you mean, I have to hit before using SB? Cause I do hit enemies after using it, only shielding when hit is coming, and it’s not helping at all ;x

If that realy should be enough, then maybe I’m just bugged

You also need to make sure you’re doing at least 1/5 of the highest dps’s damage so you can keep the agro.

For mobs, instruct your party to aim the targets closest to you if they can, after you pull (assuming you pull the targets to a wall or at least funnel them). Reason for this is that you have a higher chance of keeping the agro of targets closer to you because you’re more likely to hit them, allowing you to build agro.

Also, if you’re swapping to a 2-handed weapon, then it would remove Swash Buckling’s buff, which allows you to draw agro on more monsters.

Bad tanking skills.

The more you damage the boss/mob the better, not only you are helping in killing faster but also keep the aggro on you.

2 things you have to consider, if you are in group with other swordies, make sure they turn off Provoke attribute and don’t use SB in case they have Pelt in their build.

If you use SB and other swordie use after, you will have your aggro overruled.
