What should I pick for rank 8? And don’t say shinobi, because the quest is awful and I’d rather not wait for 2 weeks to try and fail to get the damn flower.
I same like you, beside shinobi has high burst if your prupose is the farming way, fill rank 8 with doppel is a good option
For one-hand sword + offhand user, you really don’t have much option. Shinobi still the best pick. Other than that, Doppel C1 doesn’t require 2-hands sword. But if you use Spear + Pistol. You could get Dragoon, or Hoplite 1 for Finestra.
doppel1 is actually very viable for this farming class, you’ll have a max duration cyclone for more hits and dpe for your double drop needs
Right now my character is at Corsair 2. I don’t know if going into Corsair 3 is the best thing, but it was my current plan before I ran into the brick wall that is the shinobi quest. Is there another class I can take at Rank 7 that I can substitute for Corsair 3?

Stopping at Corsair 2 is IMO not a good idea. Hexen Dropper on lvl 5 is just too sad. An the real deal with Corsair is the Pistol Shot now, which is infact C3 Corsair.
after Sw3-Barb-Corsair3 there are 4 viable options u could go.
- Fencer C1 for Aggression +15% dmg with rapiers. Flannconade (a nice Slash Dmg Skill which has 5OH - nice in Combination with Cleave and Lunge (additional Fencer Slash Debuff))
Fencer -> Stick to Rapier (Black Horn is indeed a powerful weapon, tho) - Doppel C1 for Cyclone and DoV
- Shinobi for Bunshin -> Double Slash and Kunai and the stealth attributes which are handy in certain situations.
- Murmillo -> More of a tanky route, still no Pelta/Rode before so it might be a waste.
Getting Dragoon C1 is too less synergy. Also i feel Dragoon realy shines with 2-handed spears (Big Game Hunter Attribute).
Hoplite C1 is too much of a backtrack IMO (Also u only realy profit from Finestra lvl 5 which is infact 100 crit rate, some AoE Ratio, but without 100% uptime)
Goon C1 and Hoplite C1 enable u 1-handed spear.
Now back to Shinobi Quest. I did this quest twice now. The second time was roughly a month ago. In both times i came into an empty channel waited for ~5 hours and was done with this quest. Dont channel surf! (This is probably the major mistake the most players are doing…)

Little difficult to not channel surf when you’re constantly being kicked from your channels dying, but thanks for the tips.
Fencer and Doppel definitely sound interesting to me.
Fencer c1 is a “good” choice, you get coquille to boost your dmg…
Yet it doesnt work at the moment.
