Hi all, I’m levelling pretty fast and easy as SW2 - Barb2 using a 2HSword with 50 Base STR and rest to DEX.
Endgame will be a double strike corsair with 1:3 STR:DEX for damage and boss killing.
Assuming that, I was reading that Pelta lvl1 (for provoke) is a must to have anyway for spam Seism and mob in party… so I was thinking if… instead go on with shinobi or similar, get 1 level of Pelta? It is so wrong?
You should have picked up Pelt 1 instead of SW2 at rank 2. It’s a bit too late to pick it up without killing your DPS down the line.
Hmmm why? As SW 2 I got Stunning Skill that helps in mass killing mob from autoattack while skill are in CD… Shinobi or others sub-class can add utility, but they are not increasing damage class…

A lot of people believe that Sw 2 is a bit useless. Either go Sw1 or 3 apparently. I’m not so sure, since I’m already Sw 2 and plan on going to Barb 3 and fencer 2. I may go Sw 3 and Barb 2 - but I feel like Barb 3 is more useful for damage output.
I mean you could just do Pelta 1 and see what happens?
If you’re already this deep into the game, then it’s honestly a bit too late to worry about picking up a low rank class for the CC.
Just keep leveling up as you plan to at this point and make the best of your buffs from SW2 if you don’t want to start over.

but before wasting n-level to try a build, I asked if anyone got an hint for my idea!
I take SW2 other than for Restrain, for getting buffs to lvl 10 (now Rank 34)… but I’d like to not make awful mistake eheheheheh
I personally don’t think SW2 is as awful as everyone makes it out to be, but I will agree that it has far less utility than Pelt 1 and SW3.
the buffs themselves are quite awful once you get deeper and kinda waste on buff slots. Restrain is good though, but having it only at level 5 may seem lacking, this is why not many take swordsman 2
as a sword c3 myself, i can say that restrain lvl 5 sucks and lvl 10 is awesome

And yep maybe SW2 is not a great pick (40% stun is for sure a better option than 20%)… but in late game can I fix this?

After 6 class upgrade, and after getting Corsair 2, is it a so huge mistake taking Pelta1 instead of Corsair 3 or other classes?
Basically my build is the old DDSinX that use autoattack and some skill for clearing aggo, so no need other damage skill but only an increment of utility in party or a burst of damage.
Is there a better option than Pelta1 as seventh class?

mmm I guess. It’s hard for me to judge whether or not your plan will work because I haven’t really heard of anyone going to Pelta 1 late game. I mean if your make good use of your play style it may not be a bad idea.
I mean worse case scenario you’ll need to make a new character but if you enjoy experimenting than maybe you’ll at least feel good for trying something fairly unique.
Well currently corsair 3 also suck thanks to pistols being bad, but they will -probably- fix it.
idk really, I would reroll if I were you while you’re still early in the game, than regret it later.
peltasta can really bring you far, swash buck is forever, guardian attribute is forever. Active blocking is another good thing if you use shields.
