Support Chaplin Build advice

this is the build i have so far.

my plan is:

cleric 1 -> priest 1 -> priest 2 -> priest 3 -> chaplin -> cleric 2 -> ???

however, i can’t decide on what my last class should be. people say PD, but, others say that PD got nerfed in a future patch. i kinda like the concept of Oracle, but, i heard they weren’t… so hot. Oracle 2 seems kinda worthless too and we don’t know what Oracle 3 looks like yet, so…

i have 13 free points at Priest 3 as well. i’m not sure what i max. i wanna get Aspersion to 15 and Resurrect to 5. i’ve read that Resurrect only needs to hit 2 for the attribute. i’ve also heard about the Blessing buff from kTOS, meaning i might want to max Blessing instead, etc. i’m just… undecided where i should drop those points. i know Sacrament can be left at level 1, but, i want it at 5 so it matches Last Rites duration.

as for my stats, i’m somewhat interested in trying out PvP. i’m not sure what damage looks like in PVP, so, would 2:1 SPR:CON work out? or i could go with 3:1, which was my original plan.

About Plague Doctor nerf, we don’t know what will come for iToS and what will only stay in kToS, so yes PD received a nerf in kToS but still a good choice.

About Oracle, C1 is good C2 no, so if you want to take C1 you can and in Rank 8 + take a future class, why not.

  • They offer Prophecy that is a alternative for Plague Doctor’s Bloodletting, less powerful but good enough.

  • Forecast with it attribute that give you 5% chance of nullify any kind of damage for the skill duration.

  • Counter Spell that block magic damage in the area, and if we gonna consider kToS patches that can or cannot come to iToS, Counter Spell get a nice “rework”.

Kabbalist have the best Mana Recover skill with Ein Sof attribute, but you build is not a mana hungry one so there is a choice of Rank 7, but nah.

So (in my opinion) you can either go Oracle C1 that have plenty of everything and getting a entire new Rank 8 class (when it come) or go to Plague Doctor that is a solidy choice (a nice choice btw) and in Rank 8 get it C2 or getting a new class.

About your skill build, I don’t want to talk about because I don’t know a lot about Priest/Chaplain.
But for Cleric I want to say something.
C1 you will use cure for damage and it is a good damage skill for at less 80-ish, leave Desprotect zone at 1 and put more points in Cure (I don’t like DZ you know, but you can go with lvl 3 anyway).
C2 you will get in high level so points in cure are almost useless, a Safety Zone of 40 hits is a little overkill if you get it in Rank 2, but will have a lot of points why not.
You choice of skills is good there~~

hmm, i wish there was more information about what Oracle c3 offers, but, it’s gonna be… awhile before i hit c7, so, i have time, but, i just wanted to get some second opinions.

i don’t like DZ that much either, honestly, but, as you said, since i plan on going CON/SPR, Cure’s damage will be… really low anyway, so, 1 point there, 3 in DZ and it lets me save 1 extra for Fade. i dumped 5 points into SZ because… i had nothing else to use them on at that level. i could’ve gotten level 5 Fade, i suppose, but… is that really needed?

i’m still unsure where i dump those 13 points i have left over with Priest. i wanna max Blessing, just in case the kTos Blessing buff comes (which i should, honestly), or Aspersion, since, Aspergillum seems really solid. i’m torn between those two because i have no idea how much the Blessing buff helps or if Blessing even NEEDS the extra points to be effective. i could take 2 points from Revive, max Aspersion (or Blessing) and max Mass Heal. my other thought was max Aspersion or Blessing and get r5 Resurrection for the cast time reduction.

what do you think about 3:1 vs 2:1 SPR:CON? i do wanna go into PvP (not hardcore), so, i’m not if 3:1 is enough CON to survive.

Like I said I don’t know much about Priest skills or pvp (I have a crap latency after SA being moved to NA). My pvp experience come only from ICBT2.

You can go with 2:1 Spr:Con and until you think you’re surviving (leveling) and change to 3:2 in latter levels.

For example:
2:1 until 100
67 SPR 33 Con
and 3:2 until 280
175 SPR 105 Con

Or

2:1 until 280
187 SPR 93 Con

Or

3:1 until 280
210 SPR 70 Con

Or

3:2 until 280
168 SPR 112 Con

I dunno what is better. I’m not a 280 player after all.

i’ve been doing 3:1 so far and surviving just fine, but, of course, i’ve been abusing the Pardoner buffs and able to steamroll everything real fast, so, i’m not sure that’s an accurate representation or not, haha. so far, everything is good, though.

Haha, a question are you using leather, cloth or plate set and mastery?
In my case I use 3 plate, cloth gloves and plate mastery. help a lot in surviving ç_ç

i’m not using anything in particular right now.

i do plan on farming for the cafrisun set, since, i can’t use the marketplace to just buy it.
