Suggestions to Hunting Grounds/Instanced Dungeons and gear progression

I’m not really new to the game but I’ve come into a lot of roadblocks when it comes to gearing characters up. Quest equipment are usually only available at lower levels and aren’t really present in later quests so here comes my suggestion.

How about introducing some [infinitely] repeatable hunting quests in every Hunting Ground map? These quests can be party shared and rewards players with EXP cards or points that can be traded for HG equips (or cubes if IMC can’t let go of the box mechanic). Something like 5 points per quest killing 150 monsters, and each blue equip/box would be 100 points and purple ones would be 300 or more. This will also promote more party play and more things to do aside from doing dailies and then logging off.

This point system can also be added to Instanced Dungeons where points (or talt) can be traded for equips (not necessarily the ones gotten from the cubes).

The point of my suggestion is just giving players more ways to gear their mains and alts up. I’ve seen way too much people running gears 2-3 tiers below their level and most of my alts are like that too.

Please… cafrisum is end game armour.

My Chaplain agrees, especially with that 4.8k Blessing in Telsiai.

in some ways I like the idea and I know others had similar ideas. I suppose for brand spanking new and ignorant players that they might have a rough time but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I wonder if IMC placed a cap that gives value to the cubes in the hgs that can be obtained and that this new system would damage that vision by making such eq way easier to obtain. I think they might be working on reducing the drop rates for the cubes as well.

for the most part eq that you gain from quest tend to suck even though they might have been slightly buffed with the major patch. I noticed that some of the HG items ( the weapons) seem to have been buffed as well.

there are already plenty of ways to obtain eq. silver + look at the market. you can hunt monsters and they drop recipes that you farm mats and craft. you can farm some monsters for decent eq as well such as the wizard bracelet, it’s not really that hard to farm. once you obtain some eq you can freely pass it to other chars unless it is transcended. dungeons provide more basic eq than they used to and then they added hgs that give eq as well so you can already farm them for eq. just 1 hour in the 320 hg gave me 4 blue armor cubes.

some decent recipes are super cheap in the market now and things like the roxana recipes are way easier to obtain. anviling items is cheaper than ever though lower level items are not as useful to higher level chars nowadays and lower level items don’t get crazy values like higher level anviled items get in order to reduce the 5 hammer effect. I still see 320+ chars using a 5 hammer even though a purple 170 weapon or a 220 blue would be a better option.

what effort are we gonna have left if we can loot all our eq in a day? you can already reach the level cap in a day.

cafrisun and 5 hammer last me til about 170 but I feel like i’m naked when I wear cafrisun at around that level. once you have a decent high lv char it becomes much easier to obtain gear.

just my two cents + a lot of coffee
