Upon playing within parties for a considerable amount of time, I have come across several things that should be adjusted.
- Mousing over a player’s portrait in your party (NOT the list from F6) will display their location, the channel they are in, and as well what class they are.
While I am aware that you are able to find someone’s location by using F6, this can save the hassle of going through menus and UI. Moreover, there are parties that usually seek certain classes for a proper composition. That, or you, as the one joining a party, want to know exactly what classes the people in the party are.
- Display a party’s location that are in the Public Party List.
Majority of parties I see are ones that are created on the fly; with no title or description as to what they are doing. This becomes a problem while searching for a party, as you see no explanation about what said parties are doing, which more or less defeats the whole purpose of even opening a party to the public in the first place; finding others to do the same content as you are. Displaying a party’s location can slightly ease this problem.
- Differentiating between party members and NPCs that are on the map.
Quite a simple one. By changing the color of the icon for party members to a separate color from the NPC icon, it will make it easier to discern where exactly players are on the map.
