[Suggestion] VIP Server

Aye, but in a very bleh twist, this also means that IMC will have better funding for GM management for the servers. The more people they have available to deal with these types of players, the better quality of life that we’ll all have in the end, no?

Question, why pay for what is already there for free?

You are assuming that the P2P server will produce greater profits than the F2P server, which may not necessarily be the case since the F2P server will most likely have a much higher population.

I don’t have any statistics on which of those models is actually more profitable, but with more games moving from P2P -> F2P I assume F2P is more profitable (I personally am probably going to be spending >$5 a month on this game whether it is P2P or F2P).

I’m not saying that there should only be a P2P server or only a F2P server. The original suggestion was to add a P2P server so that those willing to fork over $5 a month would be able to play with a like-minded community as a way to gain some revenue.

I will admit that there are a lot of P2P games turning over to the F2P model, however, but what they’re doing to earn funds afterwards is something I would never wish upon ToS, and that would be allowing the “Premium Members” to play in the same space as the “Normal Members”, all the while providing the Premium Members definite, visible benefits. I don’t agree with the idea that spending money should alleviate me from playing the game. I like the way that it’s set up (though as I’m sure you’ve noticed today that I have more than a handful of suggestions), but if there are any options to make people feel better about the crowd they play with, I’m all for it if it in turn helps the community flourish as well.

My comment was made under the assumption that you were saying that there would be bots on the P2P servers as well, meaning that someone would be spending money on the game but if they got banned, would have to continously reapply for VIP status because of bot termination and breaking the Terms of Service (if and when that gets addressed).

Ah, I see what you were saying. I was thinking the same thing as I was writing that. More bots = more money to get rid of bots :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Triple /20char Bingo

**Edit:**If they want to bot in the P2P server, go for it. IMC’s going to have to do something so that they can afford servers (at this point, better servers). If that means that people want to pump up their wallets by being silly enough to get themselves banned numerous times, let 'em have at it

Vip server for 12,99euro a month and im in !
Or they could add vip status to the account and you can switch to channels where only vip members can access.
Would solve the problem to seperate the vip players from the normal one,so they still can play togehter if they whant to.

Because the community of games where there is a paid entry is on average better than a free one. If the product is free, in my opinion it is worthless.

I would be willing to pay in order to play with other players who are willing to pay. Nothing is free, if I play on a free server I know I will not enjoy my experience there as much as paid.

VIP channels would be an interesting idea to implement if IMC is steadfast on the free-to-play model. I would just ask that the megaphone shout is exclusive as well to avoid all the terribleness that comes with a F2P community spamming the shout commands.

It would also address the bot problem in the way of not having to compete with botters(unless they pay for it, and you bet people who pay will be actively reporting botters), but they will still have an effect on the economy which can be good or bad.

EDIT: It would be like the ‘HOV Lane’ of the game, and I kinda like the idea.

I do and don’t like the idea.

I like the idea because it would still allow people to play in a secluded area.

I don’t like this idea because there are field-boss events, and some areas that are meant for farming spawns of mobs. Having the ability to access these points separate from people that we’re still playing with would be imbalanced, especially if they’re going to have RO’s MVP-like drops :open_mouth:

Field bosses with a channel structure is sketchy to begin with, would the boss be on every channel or just one?

If it is just one they could put the field boss on a F2P channel and the VIPs could all go there.

Perhaps they could make some VIP only ones too :3

See, but that’s where we run into the types of things we don’t want. Especially if VIPs share the same serverspace as F2P players.

Yeah I know I was just being cute. I am kinda curious to see how they would implement field bosses with a channel system.

No, ■■■■ off with this kind of bullshit.

I’m all for it, but ONLY if it’s a separate server that you pay for. Adding a Pay Channel is completely pointless, as you’re still on the same server as the F2P’ers and have to put up with the same issues (even with the extra channel) and use the same economy.

There’s no need to add any other benefits other than it being a separate server. No Cash Shop discounts (Because big spenders will get huge advantages from buying things in bulk, and you’re only paying $10 a month), no special maps or Bosses with unique drops (Unless they’re purely cosmetic). The fact that it’s a P2P server is rewarding enough. Hope they give this consideration.

The system is pretty simple, you pay for example 12euros a month , you got access to privat channels with maybe more exp and drop, everything that is dropped there only will be able to sell to other vip players, this should save the balance between vip players and normal players.
Not sure if such a thing is way to complicated, but i think this shouldnt be to much of a trouble.

I don’t know about more experience and drop rates. I won’t pay to level faster or get better loot - I’ll pay to have a better community.

“pay to have a better community”,well have good luck with that. :joy: :joy:

We shall see, shall we not?

the main problem is that the ruman race is somewhat racist even if some people don’t agree with that.
Dosnt mather witch online game you will play (or anything that involves a lot of people) there always will be a toxic cumminty evolving around it,also the main problem arent online games, racism already starts at religions, human subcultures and other little things for example.
People that play p2p games are also toxic, they monthly payment dosnt stop them from doing it.
So to be serious p2p dosnt make the community better.
