Dear readers,
As you all know there’s is this new-system in place of DPK. It’s better than it’s predecessor. However there is a certain factor that is undesirable in both systems.
The map-based counter. It’s okay, great even however it encourages un-healthy gameplay. How? Well, you should keep killing till you have like 10K mobs farmed. How is that not healthy? Though you can continue another day, who says another player continued farming that same zone, but at night. Till he got that rare dorp you wanted. Then quit. The next day you continue farming again. With a counter pretty close to zero if you’re alone.
Most people play on a regular basis, because they have obligations, responsibilities and physical needs. Most people can’t play 12 hours straight for farming.
So I propose timebound counters.
How does it work?
Everything stays mostly the same except but with an added feature. Namely one divides the day in segments, and every segment has it’s own separate counter.
For example, let’s divide the day in 12 time segments, each one of 2 hours and each one has a counter. So between 00:00 - 02:00 AM has a counter that counts seperately. 02:00 - 04:00 counts seperately. And so on till you have divided the whole day. The idea is that these counters continue counting from the same segment the previous day.
This means that players who play on a regular basis will see more drops (because of farmers late at night can’t interfere) and more parties will be made. I don’t know how bot-behaviour will change though. Drop rate-wo’nt change with current system in long run.
Note to keep in mind. The first few weeks the dop rate will be extremely low.
