I don’t think there’s a point in making a class that use scythes. Weapon-wise speaking, it’s no different from a spear the way a warpick isn’t too different from a spear. It doesn’t warrant its own category.
Another thing is, if you look at the class roster, you’ll see that every classes have their real world counterpart. Except for the Wizard tree which mostly pulls directly from the Wizard cliché in video games and don’t have a real world counterpart, most others do. Which leads to the question: What real world profession uses Scythe majorly? Definitely not Farmer, because they use it as much as they use pickaxes or shovels.
You could make it a subweapon for Necromancer for example, that may make sense, though I haven’t seen any Lich or Necromancer using scythes, they mostly use grimoires or rod/staff.
tl;dr It has its potential, but it generally doesn’t fit the theme of the game.
Well, the Cleric tree will have the Shepperd class, they could give it to that which would give physical Clerics a class which grants them a weapon with more range.
I brought this up 2 the game would see this as nothing more then a spear. we have alot of spear classes already.
And at that point its basically a staff skin instead of a spear skin.
The issue it there isn’t really a place for it to make sense in this game other then a skin for a weapon.
