Then how would these “new players” even know about said activity? Your claim is that they don’t even know how to solo grind these HG’s. A quest won’t magically tell them how to do it. Being in a party won’t magically infuse the knowledge into their brains. What’s worse it if they do get into a party, they are getting carried (unless that’s what you wanted).
Take for example Donnes. Because of the nature of his quests (you can’t take 5 at once and just complete them all before going back), very few even bothered with him. World quests at least had a flow to them that players could follow vs going back to Donnes every single time you complete a quest. IMC had to build an event involving Donnes for ANYONE to do them. The advantage to Donnes was the 100% xp buff his event gave so we could party grind the usual places and not the xp rewards you got for doing those daily quests.
Then there’s the party events where you Q up ala dg and missions to participate. Your reward was ensured regardless of build because you could not be voted out of the party no matter how much your build sucked or how much you played poorly. The last event was even so easy you could afk the entire time and still get the reward.
With your suggestion
Players who are unable to do HG would still be unable to do HG. If their build sucked they STILL wouldn’t be able to get a party because their build would STILL suck.
The rewards you suggest are cubes. That means participants would still not be able to aim for a pcs of gear. That’s why people don’t farm HG’s. It’s RNG to get a cube and RNG opening a cube then RNG going for max slots. Even before the change there weren’t that many farming HG’s due to the RNG with the appraiser.
Newbies who can’t farm HG still won’t be able to.
Ridiculously expensive 315 purple HG could still be just as expensive because you don’t eliminate the reason they are expensive. RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG.
