Suggestion Regarding Limited Drops

I’m sure you are aware, but there are certain drops that are only obtained from bosses. There are bosses that drop ingredients to unique recipes as well. I’d like to suggest making it so that these items are directly given to the player upon the defeat of a boss instead of making it a drop that must be picked up. This would be a good temporary fix to certain bugs where client to server communication errors would result in grayed out items that can’t be picked up after a boss fight. It would allow people to obtain their quest and unique boss-drop-only items. This would also resolve the issue where people are unable to obtain their items after a boss fight in the inevitable event where they might die and/or DC just as the boss dies before picking their items up.

Just going to bump this thread, instead of making a new one. This is a very good suggestion and should definitely be implemented before the game reaches official release. I personally just defeated the quest boss “Bramble”, but the instant I landed the killing blow, I was disconnected, apparently due to the only channel for that map crashing. Needless to say I was not able to pick any of the drops up, including the Bramble Thorn, a crafting material for a necklace recipe, the components of which all drop only once, each from a single quest boss.

This problem could easily be solved by making the suggested change. Even if the other random weapon/armor drops from the boss are not automatically placed into the inventory, at least these quest-boss exclusive crafting materials should be, much like the boss monster cards already are. At the very least, if the above is not done, then the crafting materials should be changed to be given to the player as a quest reward along with the experience cards. It really seems like this problem shouldn’t even exist in the first place, given how easy it would be to avoid by simply making the items part of the quest reward.
