[Suggestion] Let global chat OFF permanently

Serious, why do so many maintenance to fix that??

Since the tests began global chat has been used for:

  • People who are slothful enough to research where things are on forum, and want the others find it for them;
  • Fights about language;
  • Xenophobia;
  • People selling/buying things (a function that can be made by Market NPC, so why have two channels to do the same thing, when one of these hinders more than it helps?

I’m favor turning off the global chat permanently. I would like to hear more opinions about.

Agreed. I never saw so many Toxic people in a game before…

Yes for the reasons above, but no for the reason of people wanting to find party, especially if they are solo players who don’t know anyone irl in game.

I’m gona have to agree with you… Keep zone chat, but removing global chat would be good.

but world chat is good for event and such. some people hang out inthe cities may come to a boss event when you shout it out. it’s to much hassle to go to every channel saying there’s an event and we need every who want to join in etc. this need a trade chat though

At least a button to Turn: On/Off, it’s so amusing to read some people…

Except you can actually turn the global chat off from the top at the chat setting.

I’m against permanently turning off global chat. It can be really helpful in a lot of situations really.
Limit the global chat, yes, but not turn it off. Closing world chat is a huge step backwards for socializing in a MMO.

You can turn the global chat on the top at the screen.
Press enter and click setting button (right after the emoticon button).
Then uncheck show shouts on top

Agree’d

Global Chat should be used for global system notices and events only that appear in every tab. People should talk in towns if they want to socialize.

They should just make megaphones a cash item thing in OBT

lot more easy… the global chat need megaphone, just make them incredibly expensive OR limit the usage per day, puff problem fixed.

Yeah I agree. Megaphones need to be limited and unable to be obtained or traded past the daily limit. 5-10 is more than enough. If you want to chat longer with someone whisper, party, or get on same map.
