Good day Saviors!
I’m a player from SEA so I’m sorry for future misuse/mispell word/s of the english language. Before I jump straight to my idea, let us just look at the obvious facts about bots/gold sellers. shall we?
Bots
- Weird Names
- Walk/Turn the same route everytime
Gold Sellers
- Banning of lowbies who use world chat to sell silver is useless when they can’t find the source.
I’ve been doing Monster Achievements for the past two weeks and encountered/reported a lot of bots and potential gold sellers during my world map tour. Some of them got banned and some of them didn’t. So here are some screenshots of them. (errr… new users can only post 1 pic per post)

As you can see, They all have one significant similarity, they all have VERY LOW ACHIEVEMENT POINTS for their level. Imagine a level 150+ player with an achievement point total on par with a level 40+ player or maybe even lower(just an estimation). His/Her points are from achievement points on job change quests and monster achievement points. So basically, he/she/IT just grinds all day… everyday… very fishy right?
What do they actually get for grinding from level 1 to level 150+ 24/7 without doing any sub/main quests? Yep! you are correct! LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of silver! So if you are that rich in-game and your items are just like that? there’s something wrong there. Where do the silvers actually go? I call gold/silver sellers.
Proposed Solution: Implement an Achievement Point/Quest Map Restriction
Achievement points is mostly based on quests completed. By doing this, a certain player can’t go to a certain map if he/she/IT is not done with previous map sub/main quest line. By implementing this, all potential bots/gold sellers will have to go back to starting maps because of their very low achievement points. And if a player who have very low achievement points that can still access high level maps he/she will be automatically banned.
Just think of a player with 10 or more bot accounts… that player will have to do ALL the quests for all of his/her bots just to go to his/her farming area. Will that person quit? Will that person get discouraged? We don’t know but we want to.
PROS
- GMs/Devs can easily pinpoint the bots/gold sellers. (high levels with low achievement points farming in lowbie areas)
- It will be easier to grind and finish quests in mid/high level maps without those ks bots.
- Bots/Gold sellers’ silver accumulation will drastically plummet because they will get stuck in low level maps if they chose not to do quests.
CONS
- New Players will have a very tough time battling against bots in low level maps.
- Mid/High level players will miss those free blessing buffs from them.
Thank you for your time
