[Suggestion] Class change system

As we all know, once we make a class choice it is impossible to go back, especially if it was a mistake, leveling, getting untradeable items and spending on attributes is tedious in this game and not everyone is ready to remake a whole new character just because IMC decided to rebalance classes or add new ranks that doesn’t synchronize with 90% of the builds out there.

My suggestion is re-using an old concept in MMORPGs that allow different class combination, the rebirth/reincarnation/call it whatever you want here I don’t really care system.

So, how does it work? reached the level cap? got bored? you screwed up and picked highlander instead of peltasta or the other way around and you want to correct your mistake?

Basically, you have to do some kind of long quest, similar to shinobi’s job advancement quest (this is to stop people from changing classes like socks, but if it is important enough, they will focus on it for days), once the quest is complete, you are allowed to reset one rank.

After choosing what rank to reset, and what new class to pick, you will start at Lv1, you will keep your other class’s skills and attributes, optionally you can keep your high level gear as well, but you will not be able to use any kind of exp card.

As you become Lv1, your rank also change to “rebirth/reincarnation/call it whatever you want here I don’t really care” rank, that one requires a new amount of exp regardless of what rank you reset (optionally, can make it more tedious the higher the rank you chose to change is).

Your level will stay that low until your new class rank reach 15, then it will automatically jump to your old level (for example, you were Lv330, you decided to change one of your classes, you dropped to Lv1, after reaching Lv150~170 which is enough to boost your new system class rank to 15, you will jump back to your old level).

Optionally, those who chose to do that can have a bonus +50% exp or something similar since they cannot quest for exp, they will have to farm maps and dungeons for this, which will also help low level players find people to party with, either for auto party matching or those low level good spawn maps that nobody does.

Note that:

-You cannot change your C1 class, ie: swordsman to archer.
-Changing a class that has 2 circles in it can be more complicated (such as change the specified rank but reset the skill points for the other rank that still has it).

Thread is open for suggestion/correction if anything sound too broken/bad to make sure its a legit system that can be implemented into the game.

Optional:

-Ability to reset more than once circle at the cost of harder quest.
-Ability to reset 3 circles at once from one class that had 3 circles on it (Cryomancer C3 for example).
-Entirely keep your character level and only change the class level, however it will only be available to those who already reached the max rank’s max level.

Yeah that’s what we are trying to avoid every update, even if the game get fixed and becomes bug-free with an amazing economy and no bots, people would still quit just because of that.

lol all that crap for one rank might as well reroll

Have fun spending god knows how much to get all your attributes back to Lv50~100 then.

While it makes sense to give opportunities to correct mistakes, it sounds pretty nonsensical to allow resets for all the circles.

If your so called system is employed, then everyone will just cap out their character level using the best solo PvE build and then reset everything to their intended end-game builds.

Maybe allow 1 circle reset per character? But I highly doubt that’s gonna happen at all. TOS is more of a progression game right now without meaningful end-game contents, and IMC pretty much intended the gamers to have more than 1 character and simply keep rerollin characters if one doesn’t work out.
