Sub-section in forums for Ban Appeals

It’s been some time since the exploit incident happened in iToS and servers are relatively back to normal (except maybe a few, whom I hope gets their tickets solved soon). In the aftermath of the incident, we have seen many bans, and with those bans comes a huge outcry for unbans especially on forums.

The aftermath showed a revelation, that players do NOT trust Ticket Support to deal with their unban appeals, and prefer using the forums to spam forums and other forum threads with unban pleas claiming innocence. Some players were proven innocent, while others were caught with their lies. With that said, the forum was a mess in general.

If players trust forums to publicly plea for unbans instead of using the Ticket Support privately to settle their bans, I propose an idea to IMC, where a sub-section is made specifically for this purpose. Players who felt they were unjustly banned/wrongly banned, can go to this sub-section of the forums and post their unban appeals.

Certain details may need to be disclosed (In-game name, Server, Ban reason, Plea of innocence, etc) and certain conditions may need to be put in place (No posting on forums other than the unban thread, No making a new thread, etc) so accountability can be placed on the player making the appeal and due process can be done without interruption. This sub-section can only make threads that only staff and the player in question can use with regards to the ban, so no trolls or haters can come in to mob their opinions forward for a clean, proper and unbiased judging.

If they do find that players have broke the rules, they have the permission to post the ban reason with proof (where the player in question can attempt to object, with PROPER reasoning of course), thereafter the player is permanently banned from the game and forums should it fail.

Staff gains credibility that they have indeed put in work on their bans (so they stop getting criticized for not doing more), and a malicious/toxic/exploitative player is removed from the server from harming other players.

If the staff could not find any proper proof of the reason for the ban, the staff will have to personally declare in public on that thread that they have misjudged the ban and unban the person (with compensation of course). Furthermore, staff can, at any point in time, re-open closed cases should they find new evidence that they could not find before.

Players redeem themselves from any sort of opinion that they may have received for being banned, and the staff’s judgement can be legitimately put into question and accountability, while giving them a case to show that they can improve themselves.

This would give both the staff and the players accountability on their words instead of mere smack talk, and give a positive outcome either way on the result.

If the players do not trust Ticket Support to handle ban appeals, what do you guys think about making a sub-section for unban appeals? Just a thought from all the happenings that have flooded the forums in the aftermath.

  • Make a public sub-section for Unban Appeals
  • No, its better to do it privately

For people who want it to be public i don’t see why not. Faster unban for them if they are “legit”

You forgot to add 3rd option. Do it all openly in normal section and get shamed/executed publicly.

P.S. I know its not a legit way but just my day dream.

Haha, tbh seeing how all these players go to forums instead of waiting on Ticket Support, I figured this would be a better way than spamming 1-3 subsections of the forums to get their case out.

If players do want to keep it privately, I really wish all that forum spamming back then never happen again really. Otherwise, just duke it out in a subsection dedicated to that haha.

how to unvote Owo;; i just voted for anything so i can see the results Owo;;;

We need more Silul drama

Sometimes I wonder if the reason why so many polls were made back then and so many people participated on those polls, but are nowhere to be found now, is because they were abusers to begin with.
