Strictly Sword + Shield Rodelero build - need opinions

Going for a build that will include Rodelero c3 with NO SPEARS (and no rapiers).
Also I don’t care about getting Swash Buckling just to be useful in parties - this is an offensive build, not a tanking build. Going to be heavy in STR with a bit of DEX and CON
Currently weighing up 2 options, which one is better?

  1. Swordsman c1 > Highlander c3 > Rodelero c3
  2. Swordsman c1 > Highlander c2 > Rodelero c3 > Doppel c1

Also, do Barbarians have a place in the above builds? If so, I’d like to hear your thoughts as to why, because Rodelero already offer plenty of stuns as it is.

The second build is better, and it’s probably the best possible build given your preferences. Highlander c2 is better than Barbarian, and it’s not worth sacrificing Doppel for Barb circles.

Using one type of damage its not a good idea. You can use trust for pierce (0 CD), but strike…

Swordies can wield maces as well… Might not be the most effective thing, but it’s ok.

High Kick and the Slithering attribute will increase strike damage.
I’ll have slash and strike together, with spammable Thrust as the worst case scenario.
