this subject is Hell on earth.

i wish i could talk to any player in this game who was a professional player that
has experienced both Dex and Str builds and Decided to go with STR instead of dex.
then i would like to go to him and ask him, Why STR ? i don’t understand.

Why dex ? because without it you will most likely never hit mosnters on end game.
but going full dex = poor damage. as a swordman
and going full STR = Never Hitting monsters on end game due to Block rate, doge, and what not, dex and all that will make your damage null.

and using ellgnos card to justify going full dex is a death sentence in terms of Giving up on other Card slots that could be fun to use to have many other different effects in the game.
but a level 10 eleaganos only giving you 10 dex? sorry but that’s not good enough , there are so many other cards as a swordie that you want to try, not just fil all 7 slots with elleganos >_<

How do people go with STR as a swordmaster in Endgame content ? in all honesty, i really want to ask you all how tht works.

and yes i’m ignoring all coments regarding pvp on this subject.
since this builds i can see how they can mke sense for pvp, i’m more interested in pve for this Theme.

High DEX doesn’t automatically count as poor damage, DEX give crit and crit=150% of your normal damage.
High STR can also crit and even better damage out of it?
Here’s the catch, all sub-stat bonuses(patk min-max/crit atk/block pen) given by putting point into STR can easily covered by Enchants/Trans/Gem/Anvil if not better compare to what raw STR can provide. CON/INT suffers the same issue, while SPR are mainly for full support classes/builds that disregards their own dps outside Chaplains.

While on the other hand bonuses from DEX(crit/accuracy/evasion) gets much less out of Enchant/Trans/Gem/Anvil bonuses making DEX a more reasonable stat investment.

Since bonuses from STR can be gotten from other sources the competition now lies on who has the higher reliable crit rate. With how the game calculates crit rate, the STR built characters will easily fall off the damage ladder.

They don’t anymore, even SEA’s self proclaimed top Dopp switched from full STR to high DEX after the Trancend&Gem patch came.
