Str, dex, SPR, questions from a newbie

To preface the questions, I’ve searched the forums for answers to my questions but I’ve found little in the way of answers. So, sorry if these questions have been asked before.
So!!
Im planning on creating 2 new characters!!!
I wanted to know if there is any class that can effectively go full SPR/2:1 and still be effective. (I.E. skills scales with SPR, has a skill that only limited by your mana pool)
Also, While I was checking out changes to Sapper yesterday (my highest level class, C3 109) I saw that a lot of skill no longer deal flat damage, and scale with attack total. Given that’s the case, are str builds worthwhile now? I’ve been wanting to do a STR swordsman for a while now but the fact its relatively useless with flat damage/crits outstripping it with the added survivability.

I’f not, I’m just gonn aim for fencer and call it a day.

TL:DR - Im wondering if there’s a class thats SPR focused, and if the changes from flat damage to % attack on a bunch of skills has made STR Swordsman worth playing.

SPR classes that I could think of are Summoners eg: Necromancer, Sorcerer and I think Bokor? Priest also benefit from High SPR.
STR swordsman is a thing now. tho not sure if full STR is viable the usual build i’m seeing is 30con 90-120? dex and rest STR but don’t take my word for it. I’m not familiar with swordsman builds.

I was hoping as much! But the problem is the wikis never have any information regarding damage numbers, so I’m worried about which classes are best suited to str for swordsman.

Cleric With Priest Circles pretty much scales with SPR
And actualy gets more dmg per SPR point invested than from Int/Str (as bless scales better than 1 point 1 dmg)

Summoner classes (Nekro, Sorc) also scale well with SPR as SPR adds much needed survivability to summons and in case of Sorc 2 it allows you to ride pet for extended period of times.

And Druid (cleric) class focused on Lycanthropy can go full SPR and benefit from it greatly
Lycanthropy gives immunity to most CC and debuff skills (except sleep, stone curse it seems) and doubles your basic HP. When using Magic Shop Enchants on Armor/Shield which give you Con for Spr it makes you really sturdy without needing invest into con. Lastly full SPR will allow you to be in Lycanthropy for whole duration (5 minutes) and unrestriced casting of your other offense abilities (When in heavy use of offense spells you need to use potion from time to time, but thats nothing compared to non SPR build which needs gulp them on CD to not even keep up with Lycanthropy upkeep ;3)

You loose only half dmg per point invested in case of Lycanthropy Druid (as in Werewolf form you use both magic and physical attack) so you benefit immensely from blunt weapons.

For builds you can go either Priest/Druid for Support tank or Krivis/Druid for Semi Dmg Dealer/Offtank or maybe even puting point of paladin or monk in to get Two handed weapons atribute if you want highest possible dmg in Werewolf Form
For werewolf Red Gems only are worth it as they add twice dmg blue one would provide (+900 Max dmg from Reds are pretty much +1800 Max in werewolf form)

No, your main multiplier damage comes from your Weapon. STR is mainly for Accuracy, the little bonus of PAtk is not why you would go with STR. It’s now depending on your PoV, I prefer to go almost full DEX (in PvE content only) as it will increase your Critical Attack. Now the only problem of going with a lot of DEX is you need to invest in good gears and green gems, especially for a Swordman without Hoplite. I don’t remember if there are any classes with bonus of Critical Rate in Swordman tree except Hoplite. So I would say going with a lot of DEX is more for Archers, for Swordman you better do a mix of both if you think you will don’t have good gears.

Do your tests with this tool ;).

Edit : Hoplite buff gives Critical Chance and not Critical Rate, the difference is important.

Don’t forget about block. Going full STR without any block penetration is rough. Good luck on your two new characters :+1:.

actually…many configurations on this game have piled up too many old updates that make it hard to find the right posts at this point.
the game still going through Beta after all.

isn’t there a Forum mechanic that helps Admins do some sort of “Pin on Post” besides the title of each post so that new or regular players who aren’t so adapt to reading the forum Save time ?

pin on post [outdated post, read at your own expense.]
sort of pin?
most outdated posts just have an unofficial Type word by the person who made the post that it says “outdated” assuming the even felt like putting the time of their day to go back to an old post to Modify it.

or perhaps does this already exist ? if so , excuse me .

i mean HOW many status modifiers are in this game by now ? how many of them say “new mechanics” and are already outdated ?
