Str/Dex Pally C3 Priest C2 would Diev C1 work?

I have been rummaging over post after post trying to do research when i am not playing. First i thought i will just go for Iron Skin get Priest C3 go P C2 > Pally C3 > P C3. Some would say my healing will be too low even with Priest C3 without Cleric C2 but i feel confident in my play style/knowledge and would like to give it a go anyhow.

Then i decided well i could also go Kabbalist after Pally C3 there’s several issues with this probably the biggest issue is that it puts even more strain on healing but gives the bonus of additional health to 1 target and a full mana recharge along with x7 reflect damage IE 1 hit blocked team wide. To compound problems further Merkabah is a magic based attack and i am already committed to a Str/Dex build even though its base damage is extremely high.

So here’s my dilemma. As i have read on the forums usually players will go Cleric C2 > Diev C1 > Pally C3 > PD C1 but i do enjoy the versatility of Priest as a class. And i really like the idea of the Diev class and always wanted some of its functionality in my build.

I am currently Cleric C1 > Priest C2 > Pally C1 (Got pally early for that extra smite dmg asap) i have no interest in becoming monk either which i know would work from here.

Here is my solution
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/ko7thtnlu1/

By going Diev C1 after Pally C1 i would
Reduce my cast time on Heal by 6 seconds down to 24
Mass Heal by 6 second down to 24
Restoration would be always up and also more powerful to rank up as i am casting more often
Smite would be able to cast more often and cost less
Conviction same as smite
Carve so i would have Smite/Convic for blunt, slash from my sword, Magic from cure, and Carve for pierce
Carve would also give me a skill to spam when Smite/Convic is down
Revive would be always up
Barrier works even better at 1 Skill Point giving Skill Points to Restoration
Plus all of my skills would just work better

Does all of this justify trying this non-conventional build? I think it could work and more importantly want to try it.

Also is my above information correct am i over looking something important. Like when is the 20% cast time reduction applied and what skills does it apply to?

Maybe most importantly to me does anyone think this build could work for healing with only lvl 5 Mass Heal and lvl 5 Heal but at 24 second intervals vs 30? I would like to be able to support but i don’t want heavy support.

Thanks!

IMO dex is a better stat investment than str, reason being that smite has alot of ways to increase its damage meaning higher base damage leading to crit hurting alot more than just the flat damage of str.
Conviction is also another reason, if you have atleast one of the 5 elemental properties that conviction reduces; earth, fire, lightning, ice, poison via headgear enchantment or equipment you’ll have a flat +500 bonus to all of your attack lines (-100 to the listed stats, elemental property is pure and additive) +600 if you use divine might first which covers your auto attack needs.
Also because dex gives you evasion so heals+eva = more survivability.

As for classes Paladin is pretty fluid with its build so I’m just gonna list the pros of each class

  1. Priest 1/2/3
Monstrance: The formula for the increase in dex is (Dex*1.3) + 10 rounded down so if you have a stat of 200 then it will be increased to 270. The dex addition is fixed for all lvls so leave it at 1.
Sacrament: Remember that conviction adds more damage to all your damage lines so the extra damage line that sacrament gives will also be boosted.
Revive / Mass Heal / Resurection / Iron Skin: Support skills

  2. Krivis 1
Aukuras: Synergizes well with restoration and if you have, squire’s food buff.
Zalcai: Reduces enemy crit resistance (dex builds), crit rate is (Crit rate - target crit resistance)*(42/your level).
    Daino: Because daino
Any rank above kriv 1 doesn’t really add much for a paladin build.

  3. Dievdirby 1
Laima: Resist elements would only have a 9 second downtime compared to having 45. Restoration would always be up. I guess turn undead counts in on this too.
Carve Attack: Gives you piercing attack
You don’t really need zemyna all that much since alchemist potions already covers your SP.

  4. Monk 1
Double Punch: Debuff increases strike damage by 30% for more smite pewpew (again why dex is better). Conviction also makes your punches hit harder.
Hand Knife / Palm strike: Extra filler skills, there’s a nice hidden combination with deprotection zone and hand knife which makes it hit enemies in a straight line.
