I have been rummaging over post after post trying to do research when i am not playing. First i thought i will just go for Iron Skin get Priest C3 go P C2 > Pally C3 > P C3. Some would say my healing will be too low even with Priest C3 without Cleric C2 but i feel confident in my play style/knowledge and would like to give it a go anyhow.
Then i decided well i could also go Kabbalist after Pally C3 there’s several issues with this probably the biggest issue is that it puts even more strain on healing but gives the bonus of additional health to 1 target and a full mana recharge along with x7 reflect damage IE 1 hit blocked team wide. To compound problems further Merkabah is a magic based attack and i am already committed to a Str/Dex build even though its base damage is extremely high.
So here’s my dilemma. As i have read on the forums usually players will go Cleric C2 > Diev C1 > Pally C3 > PD C1 but i do enjoy the versatility of Priest as a class. And i really like the idea of the Diev class and always wanted some of its functionality in my build.
I am currently Cleric C1 > Priest C2 > Pally C1 (Got pally early for that extra smite dmg asap) i have no interest in becoming monk either which i know would work from here.
Here is my solution
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/ko7thtnlu1/
By going Diev C1 after Pally C1 i would
Reduce my cast time on Heal by 6 seconds down to 24
Mass Heal by 6 second down to 24
Restoration would be always up and also more powerful to rank up as i am casting more often
Smite would be able to cast more often and cost less
Conviction same as smite
Carve so i would have Smite/Convic for blunt, slash from my sword, Magic from cure, and Carve for pierce
Carve would also give me a skill to spam when Smite/Convic is down
Revive would be always up
Barrier works even better at 1 Skill Point giving Skill Points to Restoration
Plus all of my skills would just work better
Does all of this justify trying this non-conventional build? I think it could work and more importantly want to try it.
Also is my above information correct am i over looking something important. Like when is the 20% cast time reduction applied and what skills does it apply to?
Maybe most importantly to me does anyone think this build could work for healing with only lvl 5 Mass Heal and lvl 5 Heal but at 24 second intervals vs 30? I would like to be able to support but i don’t want heavy support.
Thanks!
