STR cleric questions

Hi guys, im trying to figure out what i wanna do for my monk with the reset voucher, so im completly clear on everyclass except for the priest tier since im diev atm and never figured out how priest should work, i think this is the best set up tho im not sure about monstrance and aspersion, can u give me a hand on what u guys think? Also, are the number skills on kabba any good or have any use if im only gettin rank 1? Thx on advance guys!!

Some one told me that if you have Res but don’t have Aspertion, when you res your teamates, they will lose their Aspertion from Pardoner shop and they will die a lot for the rest of the run because you don’t give them Aspertion.

No, you don’t really need Aspersion. If they die a lot, then they should stop being stupid and let the Priest protects them, or the Priest needs to stop being lazy and actually protect their teammates.
I don’t have Aspersion because I chose other skills instead, and my party never dies because of the lack of it… (MATK is what gets most people).

@Coraje You’re not putting any DEX at all for your Monk ? Dex will give you nice extra DPS, and also Priest’s Monstrance will buff your DEX.
Sacrament is a level 1 buff, you take it for the extra Holy property, you only max it if there’s some synergy with it, like if you go Chaplain since they get a bonus from it.
I’d say, instead, to put 1 point in Monstrance, and the rest in Aspersion, it can be useful sometimes, although usually people will have the Pardoner’s version.

Since Defence will scale with Rank from now on, Aspersion isn’t really required anymore, because you reach higher def+ values from rank 6 onwards [each rank = +10% def] than Aspersion lvl 15+ can grant you.

It’s still good to have to counter defloss from equipment breaking, but you don’t need to put in 15 points unless you’re going Chaplain (Aspergillums damage scales with Aspersion level).

Kabbalist C1 is pretty useless imo since you will not get the buffed version of the signature skill Merkaba. Ein Sof on lvl 6-7 is also quite useless unless you want to refill your SP with it because you’ll be unable to maintain the maximum HP increase (duration shorter than CD time, basically 1/2 -2/3 of the time even with 20% CD time reduction of Diev).
With the new attribute however, you could boost your healing capability by 100% while under the Ein Sof effect, so it might become handy as a tool for survival in dire situations.

Revenge Sevenfold is basically the only skill that’s always useful no matter what the build is. On a pure STR build, however, it is more likely to get triggered by some random normal attack than a high-damage hitting skill, so the use is extremely limited unless you know what is incoming.

You could also get Reduce Level to improve your survivability, but I don’t know how helpful this skill is (my Kabbalist in spe is still at Sadhu C3, needing some more levels xD). It requires Gemmatria/Notarikon at least on lvl 1 to use, so maybe it’s not that adviseable on a STRbuild (unless you leave revenge Sevenfold at lvl 1 that is)? Since you won’t get the additional target attribute for not going Kabbalist C2, the maximum number of enemies you can target is ~2 (Divine Might+lvl 1 skill) if you don’t level the number skills beyond lvl 1. This doesn’t really matter that much, though, because you won’t be getting Double Chance anyway…

Also, looking at how Kabbalist is a loved child of IMC, it’s more likely that he will scale even greater with C3, while C1 will become utility at best, so it needs to be taken into consideration that C1 won’t improve much anymore.

How did you know your teammates never dies because of Physical damages? Did all of your teammates get 1 damage from the Physical Attacks? Then people should stop buy Aspersion because they don’t really need it?

Or they die always because they are stupid?

In games, there are 3 reasons for you to die:

  • insufficient gear for the content
  • inability to play well enough (may be stupidity or bad hardware [controller/internet connection/graphic card/etc.])
  • bugs/lags/crashes

So, if you are not stupid, well equipped and play normally with bugs, lags, crashes, you will be fine.

Agree, no need for any Healer, Buff or Tanker and not need any Con stat because people with well equipped will never die (+if they don’t stupid / no bugs, lags or crashes). Except, you have to play like a softcore version of Dark Soul - running circle around about every Mobs and keep butt poke for hours.

Because they get a few hundreds from the Physical damages.

If the rank 6,7,8 give 10% each, those ranks will give 30% Physical Defend. How 30% is higher than 48% of Aspersion lvl 15?

Each Rank above Rank 1 adds 10%, so Rank 6 adds 50%. Aspersion lvl 16 is 50% so if you neede4d to have Aspersion lvl 15+ to get hit for 1s before, you don’t need it anymore once you hit Rank 6+ now.

Also, the lvl 15 Alchemist potions heal a lot of HP, that’s why I rather throw in a pot on my Cleric and use the Heal for damage actually.

i would take 2 points from sacrament and put one in aspersion and one in monstrance.

or since you’re not getting any spr/int you could lower blessing to 3 (still got attribute damage) and put 6 aspersion and 1 monstrance.

On the contrary, higher defense means that a % scaling move like Aspersion becomes even better than it was.
