C8 only really introduced 3 main unique mechanics.
- Enhance Magic Circle
- Destroy Magic Circle

This is why C8 feels rather disappointing. Outside these 3, most of the skills are just huge number buffs. At least other rank tried to add new stuffs to the game. Most of the fun and complicated mechanics are now on the list of âfail-and-forgottenâ. They donât even bother to try to look back and maybe expand more on those stuffs.
But then again, this is IMC. I should already learn from my time with GE that they keep talking about game they vision but never deliver and ends up cutting short.

Well, even at R7, fencer and dragoon can out dps fletchers at times in siaulau mission.
I think theyâre strong even at rank 7, but it also depends on luck (boss skill usages) and the player skills. You have swordie out dps fletchers here and there sometimes and the other way around other times as well.
I wouldnât use that vid for this arguement. Taoist Krivis is a super buffed lightning damage build. Of course it will â â â â on the mole that is ice.

R8 adds a lot of skills that are different from anything weâve seen before even if theyâre not entirely new game mechanics. Inquisitor wheel, Hakkapalle range+melee combos, Lancerâs dismounting, Taoist seal thingies, Sage duplication, all of those could loosely be considered new mechanics with how different they are from previous circle skills.

Spear throw : slow animation, cheated by 0cd when execution is 1.6sec, spear return only after 4-6sec make it worthless in long range (u expect me to throw 1 hit dmg n run into fire to pick bk spear? hell no)
Long stride : same slow animation, small aoe, bound to get cc-ed, only 1 hit (even u buff it 3x, it still sux)
sychro thrusting : beyond bad in everything
finestra attribute : why aoe increase only apply to AA only⌠god damn it
Most of them all serve the same purpose though. âMore damageâ. Sadder part is that all the new-lookign stuffs are probably just one to five extra line of code at most. They arenât completely new. They are just modified version of the current in-game mechanic.
For example, the moving magic circle thing. Itâs basically CreateMagicCircle() with added X and Y speed where all non-moving circle will have both speed at 0.
Inquisitor wheel is pretty much using portion ice wall code with the Cryo damage restriction removed so people can hit it and have it deal damage.
C7 is actually also somewhat of a boring fail because itâs so heavily focused on DPS. The only thing interesting in C7 were Templar and Kabalist. The imagination pretty much died after C6. C2 to C6, you actually feel like thereâs a possible new direction to take for ranking up.
C7 and C8 focuses so hard on adding more damage to the game that it made the game extremely stale. There needs to be a ceiling already for the DPS check.

2nd video: come on⌠that boss is only lvl 200 and that dragoon is 284 (84 lvl diff) Aki-sera can kill the same boss around same speed too
Murmillo has +200% strike damage and +730% to Peltasta skills = 100k+ damage umbra blows. If a wizard used lethargy with attribute, numbers would be even higher.
Dragoon has a debuff that gives +100% melee damage.
Fencer has that crazy critical damage stance.
Doppel can make an enemy 100% weak to slash.
A ktos player even said themselves that the top dps goes like this
dragoon2 > fencer3 > fletcher3
No other Rank 8 class got % multiplier buffs/debuffs except Taoist Priest, but just for lightning skills. Yet, all rank 8 swordsmen excluding lancer get damage multipliersâŚ

you do know that got fixed in the latest update right? that skill only works against missle and magic attacks, not melee, it has a hit count, and it gets cancelled when the player attacks themselves. that skill is disabled in official pvp too.

itâs fix at 16 hits count, but
- They can move
- Duration 100s, CD 31s
- Better than Safety zone, mackangdal, ausrine
- You can CC, Damage
- The buff will last until next CD rotation as long you donât get hit by Ice missile from ice wall / Multi shot level 15 which is easy since you a wizard
- Itâs a party buff ??
So tell me, Why Class that have High damage, many CC got Invicible skill ?
