OP does have some points though. Not all of them are completely correct, but there is some basis to his claim. I remember not too long ago how negative steam reviews were because “no WoE”. It’s why I don’t like the Renewal Guilds coming in here and making a mess of things, and why I partially quit.
We do have PvP, except we don’t die and it’s one on one instead of a free for all. Market inflated because of bots, which is a small reason why I also quit. The lag sucked because the AEGIS engine is incomplete (although it was also an impractical engine, and it seems IMC didn’t really improve).

I never played RO. I tried RO a little awhile ago and couldn’t get into it. I tried ToS because I heard it isn’t really a “successor” to RO. Plus, I always expect outdated gameplay to be updated for the times.
Not everyone enjoys outdated gameplay or follows nostalgia. People may find that, over the years, they just grew out of the things they used to enjoy in games.
I played Everquest for 3 years in my youth and would spend an entire day grinding out 1 level sitting in the same spot, watching the same enemy get auto attacked until it died and rinse and repeat or hours just doing a corpse run. Or camping a spawn for a week trying to get my epic quest item piece.
I can’t do that anymore. However my real complaints about the grind in ToS besides:
- We have a limit to the dungeons we can run per day. So bad RNG + dungeon limit = frustrating.
- Spawn rate seems bugged or something. They seem to be on a global timer instead of a respawn timer beginning after an enemy or group of enemies has been killed. Channel hopping + bad respawn times = frustrating grinding experience.
- No real social environment to entertain us while we’re grinding. I come to the forums for entertainment while I’m grinding instead… lol. Might be a social environment at end game when people are forced to party but while you’re leveling up it’s almost non-existent. I understand how RMT take advantage of zone chats and stuff but man… give me back zone chats and put in a proper chat filter.
At least EQ had a heavy social environment to entertain me while I was doing boring repetitive work. I did partner with people to do quests but it was just that - doing quest. No one really talked much we just worked on quests.
So that’s all I’m going to say here. I like ToS for the most part but I am sorta frustrated watching people blindly justify things that are just terrible such as glaring balance flaws etc just because some ancient retro game had all of these issues too.
I went from EQ straight to WoW and didn’t once criticize WoW for not having a lot of the horrific design that EQ had in it. I, instead, took a breath of fresh air and was relieved to see that they weren’t in WoW. And please don’t come at me saying WoW was bad, it was awesome during its vanilla days.
No reason ToS can’t innovate for the times and improve upon the RO experience. People really want to just go from one game to a game that’s exactly the same down to its fundamental game design flaws?

So you want to have the candy ( dungeons) the whole day LOL, that why they are fun because you dont have it all the time, you want dungeons all the time to just get items and level right now, this game is supouse to be fun and hard but you people just make it boring with that kinda of thoughts.
You people just cry about not having a place or a way to communicate with people, for me is kinda funny that the Koreans players make more partys in group than us.
You could be a bit smarter a find a way to do a social enviroment you dont a need a chat or a house or something like that in ragnarok never existed something like that lol you just sitted in the middle of the capital and talked with people.
Stop being a child guys most of us here are above 20s we dont need ours fathers to come to clean our sh**, solve your problem by yourself.
And Im not saying that TOS is perfect but common people you are crying just because everthing is not easy, i know there is problems with lag,respawns and “Unbalanced jobs” but you can keep crying because no ones talks to you in the game or for not being able to get an item in a day LOL remember guys this is a MMORPG, since when MMORPG has been easy?

And go to get some dictionary my friend but at least intelligence is my languange means the knowdlege to take good decision and is different from being intelligent or smart :c maybe in english means another thing but im kinda sure is the same.

Isn’t Tree of Savior the “Soul Successor” of Ragnarok Online? But sadly… Ragnarok is still better.
At least 0.01% drop rate in Ragnarok applies to a lot of rares. How about here? Mithril ore? 
IMC doesn’t want to release Arena yet ya know why? Coz they know the imbalances. Look at them planning on the Rank 8 instead and more cash items to lure the wallet warriors in.
People like us complain about Tree of Savior because it ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT meet the properties of an MMORPG (Massive Multiplater Online Role Playing Game). Nobody plays the role of other classes coz its SHIIET.
To all you noobs specially the OP. It doesn’t take a “VETERAN” to determine the failures of this game from the ground up. So please stop the crap about people comparing ToS to Ragnarok because MOST PLAYERS say that TREE OF SAVIOR gives them the OLD RAGNAROK FEELING.

Who needs innovation? Why bother taking an old idea and improving on it to make it better when you can just copy the old idea down to its bugs, flawed game design, exploits and glitches
