Press “Enter” to bring up chat. Beside the text field that pops up you will see two icons, one smiley face for emoji, and one cog/gear for settings. Click the cog to open settings.
At the bottom of the settings pop-up you’ll see “Show Shouts on top”, deselect that.
This is a temporary fix until they have time to address the bots.
I am making this thread because these steps helped us immensely in icbt2 when everyone and their mom was spamming shout (since megaphones were basically free) and it generated huge amounts of lag there too. Sometimes you couldn’t even see your megaphone message for upwards of 10+ minutes because there was so much being said and testing around the shout limitations.
I’ve seen some helpful people saying this in the threads that keep popping up about the lag, but, didn’t see a thread specifically for it yet, so just posting it here. Hopefully this helps in addition to blocking the user (right click their message in chat, select “Block”, may or may not be functioning as intended right now).
