Gameplay Bug Report Connection / Game Crash

Note 3: I’m not familiar with steam-things

Anyway, without further ado:

As you can see my TOS client doesn’t update. It doesn’t seem to be downloading anything either, but the ‘TOTAL’ MB keeps on increasing.

I refuse to believe that just a discount would make me download so much.

What did IMC broke this time?

Things i already did (that didn’t work)

  1. verify integrity - it doesn’t even go past 0%
  2. clear download cache - (just a random post i saw while searching for answers)
  3. restart my laptop
  4. ccleaner
  5. try downloading another game (those games properly download as seen on the SS)

Thing/s i haven’t done yet:

  1. tweak some files in TOS folder (what? how?)

try logout your steam account and login again.

Try launching the game instead of downloading the update through the Steam client.

If that doesn’t work try running tos.exe located inside the patch folder inside of the release folder.

Your other games were able to update fine? If so, looks like RNG IMC-ing to me. It used to happen a few times to me (my files got f*cked up a bit when I was playing with Melia) but a simple reverify seems to fix the issue.

from desktop shortcut - redirects to steam
from folder - doesn’t even run

yes. others were fine. i tried reverifying and it just became 100% without any reverified files

been reading / researching for the past hour, it seems like a steam error. I also tried changing region to Japan, didn’t work. Some said it might be an internet connection (bandwidth, speed etc.) problem, but if it is, i wouldn’t be even able to type here

Oh, now that I’m reminded - one other thing that I usually do is go to https://issteamdown.com/ to see if Steam is up or down.

Sad to say, i’m leaving this for tomorrow. :confused:
As the saying goes, tomorrow is another day.

Ah, i should have gone out and watched that SAO movie instead ir even write my Miko quest story…

Just gonna archive some more things i’d try tomorrow:

-uninstall steam client (backup games orz) then reinstall with latest version of client

-download some tool as recommended by a vid.
-delete/transfer some files? only 50+ gb left, i’ve read somewhere that storage might be an issue

In case you havent tried these
Try remove steam launch commands if you have any
or try pause the steam download and press the X to remove that ToS update then start the game again

Suddenly, it worked again

downloaded something for a short while (it didn’t indicate size)
then proceeded with a 50+ mb update

then

then it’s ok

i kinda wanted a solid solution tho, as this might resurface again in the future.

Another possibility i had in mind is that my antivirus might have blocked TOS.

Anyway, Thank you very much for all your suggestions.

Friend I did not play this game, it will make you lose a good time of life in a junk game. Support is totally useless. Besides being a game inside BUG. TREE OF BUG, ​​developers are not even there for any kind of problems related to the BUG, ​​so my advice is to change the game as quickly as possible, because you will not find information or any kind of help with problems within the game.
