Steam limited user accounts

Hello,

In an effort of trying to find a way to get rid of bots,
I’ve been wondering what percentage of players right now would be affected in case IMC decided (if possible) to prevent access for player with a Limited User Account.

A steam Limited User Account, is an account that has bought for less than 5usd worth of games and doesn’t have access to most social features. ( https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3330-IAGK-7663#)

What do you think?
How many of you are playing Tree of Savior on a restricted account?

When game was in exclusive access period requiring you to buy DLCs bots were as rampant as they are now if not more. Paywalls never stopped bots and never will.

While I understand your point, there is a clear indication of less and less BOTs banned after they removed the 10usd pack. (which came with TPs)
Also, don’t forget that the lack of a way to purchase TPs made it much more appealing for players (new and old alike) to buy silvers when the game went free to play, because they were then able to buy tokens on the market even if they hadn’t pre-ordered the game.
The goal here, is to make it so that selling gold isn’t profitable anymore.

Well, nope. Because they cant handle the amount of bots that came with F2P. Also many of the old bots are pardoners now and earn passive “honest” silver by selling buffs, the rest are still roaming at higher level locations unbanned.

I’m talking about between the removal of the 10usd pack and the Free to play launch. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
The week Free to Play launched, the amount of account banned skyrocketed again, which confirm that a gate could be somewhat effective.
