Stats allocating?

I plan on using a Cataphract and i’m unsure how to distribute my points. If somebody could help me out, i’d really appreciate it and thanks ^^

STR or CON are your primary stats and DEX is your secondary stat while SPR is your tertiary stat and only needed if you feel you need SP. Making your own stat build isn’t hard but if you want an easy thing to do, just do all STR in the beginning and add CON when you are starting to use too many potions or are dying too much. If you are missing too much, add DEX. If you’re using SP potions too much, get some SPR.

I was wondering this as well, is there some sort of list somewhere that says what each class uses as its main stat and so on?

There isn’t a list per say but depending on what kind of build you want to make, the primary stats change. Let’s say you want to survive more while doing okay damage to enemies, you build with CON.

If you want to be a DPS monster, you build for INT or STR depending on what your attacks generally do ie. Magic attacks INT and Physical attacks STR (I’m not sure if some skills scale with DEX since stuff has been changing and I haven’t kept up with it).

DEX seems to be a mixture of CON survivability (at a percentage instead of assured survivability) and STR/INT with Critical Chance increasing. It’s basically a multiplier if you have a lot of Crit buffs already on your class and if you are building an evasion class.

SPR is a weird one as it’s the only thing that increases your magic defense and increases SP but this stat is mainly only if you feel that you need more SP/regen. The magic defense is mainly there as an extra bonus IMO.

The reason I said that STR or CON are the primary stats for his class is because Cataphract is a mainly Physical DPS class thus, STR. It’s not meant for tanking but if you really wanted to, you can somewhat build it for tanking so CON is also there as a Primary stat (you’re also melee so you wanna survive :stuck_out_tongue:). I say DEX is a secondary stat because it increases your accuracy and crit chance, which are the only good points for a Catapharct IMO, so if you’re missing attacks either in PvE or PvP, just add stats into DEX and that’ll solve that problem; evasion is a bonus.

SPR again is just by choice if you feel that you are using up your SP too fast and Magic Defense is just a bonus on there.
