Stat Calculator (Beta)

Sorry, I added a bug to the STR and DEX formula when I updated the formulas tot he newest cliet it should be fixed now.

Little Update:

You can now change the rank to get the 10% INT & STR bonus per rank.

You can now enter bonus status points. Level and Bonus Status Points will be used to calculate ā€œUsable Status Pointsā€.

Everything is still a little rough and I will clean it up but I think those are the most important changes and I wanted to add them before the iCBT starts.

Where can I see my saved stat calculator? It is a great work you have done there. Thank you.

I added a ā€œMy Buildsā€ button like the one on the Skill Simulator. It’s not very pretty but functional and I’m currently a little limited on time.

Thanks! It helps a lot.

I wonder if 10% bonus affects really stated numbers or final effective numbers? As I know, effective stats are not displayed in stat window, but +10% stats affect the actual stat number.

The formula which is used in the builder is (P+Bonus Points§)*1.X, where X=Rank-1 and P=base points+allocated points. But I wonder if stats are really calculated this way?

I think the actual formula is P1.X+Bonus Points(P1.X), so players are getting more bonus points then calculated with currently used formula.

Correct me if I’m wrong, maybe I misunderstood the way how 10% bonus work. If it’s the same as from items, and simply multiplies the effective stats, then the formula is right.

Also, I have some suggestions about stat calculator:

  1. It would be nice to see the amount of real points. I mean number that you actually see in character status.

  2. It would be even better if we could add flat numbes to every stat and to every characteristic to imitate gear weared. Option about modelling the character doll would be godlike (so you can put items from database on it and it will amplify the stats accordingly).
But I know it’ll be very hard to implement, so ability to directly modify stats would be great by itself. Though I hope in future doll will be possible).

3)It seems that save option isn’t working right now. But if you are going to fix this soon, I suggest to save result as a status ā€œcardā€ that will be a copy of actual character status.

So there would be listed: a) in game real stats with ā€œgearā€ stats included and effective stats in brackets. b)list of the status characteristics as it will look in game.

The current character card almost matches it’s description, but it is lacking actual stat numbers. I would like to have this change, because it will be easier to track how much stats buffs will grant and calculate certain skills effects (since they seem to scale with real numbers, not effective).
Also it would be great to add additional characteristics like earth property attack etc.

Finally, it would be nice to add block/evasion/hit chance/crit chance/crit defence chance %s as additional sub characteristics(listed under according stats) assuming that your are fighting against an enemy of the same level with all his characteristics at 0. This will help to evaluate effectiveness of certain stat distribution. And since everything is linear, you will be able to calculate exact chance to crit/hit with just substracting 2 numbers. Though, block formula is not confirmed yet, but as I know we already have quite accurate Eva chance and Crit chance formulas.

This way we will be able to get tons of useful information about our character just by looking to this ā€œstatusā€ screen. Also IMC stated that they won’t oppose interface improving add-ons, so the improved mechanics of this stat calculator can be implemented as ingame addon in future.

4)If possible, implement the mechanic so Status Cards can be attached to Skill builds to make a complete character skills/stats builds. And later adding a character doll to builds would be even cooler.

I think this will bring a new life to build making and turn theorycrafting into even more pleasant and satisfying process.

If at least the easiest of these changes would be implemented, it would already turn ToSBase into much more powerful platform for theorycrafting and lots of people starting with me would be very grateful.

Sure those are just a suggestions, feel free to ignore them if it’s too bothersome, because stat calculator is already a very good tool and fulfills it’s role pretty well. (But please, fix the save issue at least )

Hey, thanks for your suggestions.

First of all I fixed the saving issue so it’s possible to save builds again.

About the 10% bonus:
I’m pretty sure it’s calculated correctly. As far as I know the 10% is only applied once to the sum of all values for each stat. So it should be (Class Stats + Invested Stats + Item Stats + Other Stat Bonuses) * 10% per Rank.

The stats in your character status always show the overall stats I’m also displaying. If you get the 10% bonus or equip items this will change the value displayed in your character window.

About your suggestions: They seem useful and I will consider adding them. I already have some plans to improve the stat calculator but I can’t say when it will be done, yet.

Thanks for the quick response.
It seems I misunderstood how stat system works. Since I haven’t played the game myself yet my knowledge is from vids/forums/mechanics guide only.

But as I know (from the youtube video), every x’s point invested grants 1 bonus point, but it’s not changing displayed main stats and only affects secondary stats.

Maybe it was changed in kOBT and bonus points now are also affecting displayed main stats. But in the (probably) older version 10% bonus stats changed the displayed values.

So I wondered if these % points count to ā€œspentā€ points when number of bonus points is calculated or they only affect your base points and add up as flat value in the end.

But it now seems that % points affect displayed points and bonus points independantly, which makes sense if they included bonus points in the displayed number.

I will try to search for some vids/forum posts to confirm this information.

Thanks again!

Has anyone noticed that the DEX now also raises HP?
I’m playing with Hoplite class.
