Lets talk about one thing in particular that can harm people who dont are Bots. I saw numerous reports, but remember:
You can configurate every key on your keyboard for almost every action.
So lets not forget that people can easily spread actions on the key board and let the key pressed.
I saw numerous character hours in the same position just pushing around the a monster’s spaw and I knew the idea on the same time: you let the character there killing. If the monster dont kill you, you will kill some monster, better than be offline, specially when monster hunt you and you can make area damage around you.
Some games with “pressed button = automatic action” have mecanisms to prevent that, like stop the character if the action dont change in 5 minutes, make the character fall down without lose HP after 5 minutos in the same action (without move for example). But in ToS if a monster dont kill you, you will kill a lot of monsters.
I dont use that, because I dont have the money to pay for the eletrical energy of a computer on for little LV gain in hours, but I dont think that this is wrong, is a intelligent method with the action of the game itself.
So my tip to the staff and players is: before denounce people that maybe is using illegal programs, remember that: see if the bot move, if heal, and if that putting keys pressed this do the same moviment, because maybe is just that.
