Just like pardoner able to sell spell, squire should be able to sell repair by offering repair kit. I think its a win-win situation where people can be out for longer period doing what they love, and squire profit. Its annoying when i have to port back to town or look for squire repair station that might not always be there.
The amount of kits required to repair is based on the equipment’s star and quality, so unless there’ll be multiple type of repair kit, no.
I also found it weird that when you repair, its always the same cost no matter the durability. 10k for 30% durabiity, still 10k when you’re at 90% durabilty, cost should be scaled too.
in regards to the star/quality, how about imc just make a kit that will repair anything with durability but make the cost high enough to discourage common usage so ppl will use it only when they really need it. for example, a kit that cost 40k to make, and being sold for 50k? material for the kit is being sold by squire master only.
But that really hurts Squire’s early game for repairs…
I think that instead of going that route, maybe have Repair Powders and a new menu for players to interact with that accepts a certain number of powders per equipment item to repair the item. Something similar to the gem enhance menu, except you can stack powders and “repair” an item, but items require varying amounts of the powder to heal durability depending on its item level and rarity?
It gives Blacksmiths a consumable to make similar to how Alchemists can make potions and sell them, and people would be able to take them with them into dungeons or wherever they feel like going ^o.o^
