I doubt anyone would argue that this would be overpowered, or even capable of being considered “Strong” with whatever weapon we want. Even Murmillo’s abilities were changed to allow spears, and that’s actually a strong class.
Allowing spears, two-handed swords, etc, to be used would at least give people who went builds other than pelt c3 > squire c3 one more combat skill (and trust me, it’s probably very much needed at squire c3… Spear Throw does more damage and that’s from three circles previous)
Personally, I don’t think the skill is really worth it in the first place, but if it’s staying it may as well work well, right?
