Squire Build: Friendly Solo Player build

I haven’t played the game yet and I wanted to make sure that my build is optimal for solo playing in the beginning while being an all rounder for the rest of game aka PvP, Guild Battles, Bosses, Party and any other content.

One of my main focus is to roleplay and I just want to be a friendly existence in the game with repairing players gear. I dont really need a lot of money although I am planning to get minimal profit at the beginning and then making it equal to the costs require to repair it. I also planned it so that I can repair gear outside the town to help fellow grinders in their journey. So can someone tell me how much I should set the costs be if I am planning to get a few silvers for cheap repairs and for no profit repairs?

The build currently focuses on dealing the required damage to not make the grind tedious while being a useful tank. I am planning to utilise the ability “Arrest” as it’s a useful skill in bossing and PvP so having some tank stats to survive the focused attack to free their players does help. In addition, I am utilising the stun effect and abusing the ability “Pommel Beat” in order to deal more damage on stunned targets.

The stat distribution would be 1:1 STR=CON

Please tell me what you think

I highly recommend Highlander c2 over Sword c2-Rodelero c1.
You will deal tons of damage by using Cross Cut and Skyliner as follow up. Skyliner has 0 seconds cd and it is one of the best skill you can get from early game. This skill also works great even until late game.

Cross Cut - Skyliner deals much more damage than Montano - Pommel Beat. Skyliner will replace all your offensive skills. Besides, Skyliner > Thrust because Thrust has slower animation compared to Skyliner.

Thrust lv 3 offers 86 bonus damage for 10 SP.
Skyliner lv 5 offers 289 bonus damage for 16 SP.

Oh, I see. So what should be my class path? I still do hope of having 3 squire ranks.

Also, what should the points allocation should be for the Highlander skills?

Swordsman>Highlander>Highlander>Peltasta>Squire>Squire>Squire

I will always recommend that build to every Squire out there because of relatively easy levelling from early-mid game (at least until you hit 200+).

Level 10 Cartar Stroke, lv 5 Wagon Wheel, lv 5 Moulinet, lv 5 Skyliner, lv 5 Cross Cut.
Cartar Stroke is your overkill tool at early game grinding.
Skyliner and Cross Cut are your grinding-bossfight tool.
Moulinet is your bossfight tool.

The reason why I choose Cartar Stroke over Crown :
Crown is a utility for PvP (shock effect). With your STR-CON build, I don’t think you can land Crown very often.

Besides, Wagon Wheel has more damage and lower cooldown compared to Crown (355 damage with 18 secs cd VS 257 damage with 30 secs cd).

You will use Wagon Wheel against mobs when your Cartar Stroke is on cooldown (when you are still at Highlander c1). When you reach Highlander c2 and grab Skyliner, you won’t use Wagon Wheel anymore, but it’s still useful because of it’s knockback effect.

Oh that reminds me. How much are Repair kits and how much do I consume per repair?

I gotta prepare my calculator and calculate things before the event

You will usually consume around 100-150 repair kits for repairing weapons, subweapons, and all armors (per person). Each repair kit costs 80 silver.

For Weapon Maintenance, you will use Charcoal Stone that costs 180 each. The amount of charcoal stones needed depends on the grade of the weapon.

For example :
1 star white item requires 1 charcoal stone
2 star red item requires 5 charcoal stones
4 star purple item requires 8 charcoal stones
5 star blue item requires 7 charcoal stones
6 star blue item requires 9 charcoal stones

For Repair, I usually put 100-200 as cost.
For Weapon Maintenance, I usually put 200-300 as cost.

100-200 Silvers right?

Is that the cheapest offer possible while still making minimal profit?

The cheapest offer possible is 81 (only 1 silver difference from 80 which is the cost of a single Repair Kit).
With that setup, if you sold out 2000 Repair Kits, then you only receive 2000 silvers.

If you put 200, if you sold out 2000 Repair Kits, then you can receive 240000 silvers.

Gulp 2000… Silvers…

Looks like being kind and being rich dont come hand in hand…

Thanks anyway :3. Looks like I’ll be poor most of the game

As a Merchant, we don’t need to be “kind”, but we need to be “rational”.

I usually put mine around 150-200 for Repair service and I can make around 200.000 silvers per offline or AFK. There weren’t any people who complain about the service because Repair at lv 10-15 provides bonus 10-15 durability. They can’t get that from a mere Blacksmith NPC.

I only put mine at 81 for my guildmates.

However, bear in mind that your primary source of money making comes from Weapon Maintenance.

Well I just want to help people out. We can easily get money through the infinite supplies of silvers from monsters. So I’ll also probably put my Weapon Maintenance at 181 as well.

Thanks for the Suggestion though! :3.

How does Hoplite x2 stack up against Highlander x2? Together with Palesta and Squire x3 that is.

Highlander x2 has more consistent damage compared to Hoplite because of Skyliner alone. Highlander also has its own multi hit skill (Moulinet).

Compared to Hoplite x2, you will have much easier time in grinding and bossfight with Highlander x2. Hoplite is only better than Highlander if you take it to c3 (which has Spear Throw, an AoE skill with 0 seconds cd).

Did this change recently? If I recall correctly (which I very well may not), Swordsman > Rodero > Hoplite x2 > Squire x3 was the “go to” build previously.

First of all, Rodelero is a rank 4 class. And it has bad damage skills with long cooldown. Maybe you meant Peltasta.

Second, Hoplite is stronger than before because Stabbing’s cd got reduced from 40 secs to 25 secs, Syncro Thrust has an attribute to allow you deal more Pierce damage, Spear Throw’s cd got reduced from around 20-30 seconds (I forgot) to 0 seconds.

Third, Highlander’s Skyliner cd got reduced from around 15 seconds to 0 seconds.

Hoplite c3 is only accessible from rank 5, the same as Squire.
That forces you to go either Hoplite c2 or Highlander c2 or Barbarian c2.

For a c2 choice, I think Highlander is way better from Hoplite c2/Barbarian c2 in terms of PvE aspect.

Sorry I’m not sure why I wrote Rodero (especially since I wrote Paltasta above), haven’t eaten anything in a while, I ment Paltasta.

Do you recommend Swordsman > Hoplite x2 > Paltasta or Swordsman > Paltasta > Hopelite x2? I was hoping to be able to join dungeon groups as often as is wise and be as useful as possible, and I know (again, I may be wrong) tanks are in demand.

If you are going for Squire c3, then I recommend to replace Hoplite with Highlander.

If you are not going for Squire c3, maybe only c1 (to repair your friends’ gears in crazy hard dungeons), then you can take Hoplite c3, and get 1 Doppel or Dragoon.

For crying out loud , replace Hoplite with Highlander (seriously I won’t write before I’ve had my food, only having 1 redbull since 14 hours kills my mind).

I was more thinking if going Paltasta before or after Highlander is recommended.

The plan is to go Squire 3.

Again, sorry for mixing up classes, won’t post anything more until I’ve had my food. (Hope this post came out right at least, I’ve read it 3 times, I swear!)

LOL so you were asking me about which one to pick first. Sorry I misunderstood.
You can’t choose Hoplite from rank 2 to replace Peltasta because it is a rank 3 class.

That way, you can only have Sword 1>Pelt 1>Hop 3

If you go Highlander, then you can go for Highlander c2 first.
