SPR against magic?

INTRODUTION

Yesterday I was debating with a player about the stats distributions good for each type of class, but we get caught on Magic Defense in general.
We know that equipment(gears) will always help more, but he told that people are getting easily traped/killed by magicians classes and that SPR is the key to have more chances, since if you dont let it too low, you will have more chances in this cases, specially on PVP, and that people disdain SPR for see only the extend SP advantage.

I know that skills like the “Carve World Tree” from the class Dievdirby can help silence magic in a specificy area, and numerous others skills from others classes can increase the magic defense.

DIRECT ISSUE:

About the stat SPR:

You guys think or already know that this really help on the battle or not against magic?

I am in doubt because according with tosbase every SPR you earn:
“Increases magic defense by 0.2.” what for me is not to much.
30 points are equal +6 magic defense.
50 points are equal +10 magic defense.
Since any high level equipment give you easily +10 magic defense,
you think maybe is better to invest in other STAT and make everything to take the best equip defense you can take on magic defense?

What are your opinion guys?

Isn’t SPR more for SP anyways? Pretty sure it is…

IIRC SPR affects the probability of being affected by status affects or at least someone was alluding to that in Ktos.

Yes, was exactly what the guy said, but I never new someone with SPR that tested already on PVP, I think we can just theorize for now.

Might want to do a search through the KTOS general thread.
Possibly SPR is of aid to allow Swordsman who naturally have high health already to not get CC locked to death.
