Spirit rework coming *sooner or later*

We agree, so we did make a few plans to address stat effectiveness.
Starting with the INT and STR stats, we are currently undergoing
internal tests to improve their effects. In the case of SPR, however,
instead of increasing the effects of the stat in itself, we focused more
on improving how certain skills scale with it (particularly skills in
the Cleric class tree.)

At the moment, the only use for spirit in pve, at least IMO, was for a priest 3 to go at around 200 spirit for a decent stone skin + capped zaicai debuff (via scrolls).

That sad, after the nerf to zaicai, there was basically NO reason to build a full spirit cleric.

I hope they are gonna rework some skills in the cleric tree, since it’s kinda obv that spirit is worth taking only for skill bonuses and, at the moment, NO rank 5+ classes has any bonus with them (with pardoner and inquisitor been kind hilarious and nerfed zaicai that was basically it)

I was thinking to roll a priest 3 inqui support with around 200 spirit while geared (given the new end game weapons with around 50 extra spirit) and rest int for a super low spirit investement in the stat allocation and, still, capped zaicai but I’m super happy they are gonna look into this, rather dead, stat.

Int is “kinda” ok, just the magic res in end game contest is hilarious, it’s like they are forcing us to reroll fencer+dragoon for end game to annoy half the community and, to be honest, nobody seems to think it’s a good idea (apart for frustrated R7 swordmen, I guess :stuck_out_tongue: )

They’ve already been doing this process they’re not really telling you anything new.
Look at Blessing which used to be flat until it was given SPR scaling.
Thauma’s Left and Right arm which now have Int scaling.

This is a very Slow process from IMC.

What’s funny is players could tell from DAY 1 that skills need better stat scaling and that STR and INT were garbage (SPR not so much since stats could go below 0 then).

Skills still go under even with Scaling due to massive increases in later ranks.
Well I suppose thats why they have to retroactively give additional increases to skills that were effectively 1500% multipliers (Fireball) with things like Agni, or jump start a huge modifier like Claymore with more boosts.

Trying myself in cleric class. (I’m coming from swordman) I m rolling a priest3 to potentially go chaplain then oracle3. Any idea of stats and skills distribution for a pvp focus build?

Spirit would be useful aside from cleric skills if

1 spr= 1 mdef
1 spr= 2 mdef
