[Spears!] Hoplite questions about Rank 7

Hello everyone,
and thank you in advance.

So, I am building a Hoplite C3 currently, and I was about to ask for you guys’ opinions on it.

Basically, I was building it for a Hop3 Dop1 Shinobi, but these factors made me drop the Shinobi idea:
1) Shinobis aren’t currently the best class around at C7, although they seem to be hella fun.
2) Rank 8 classes are coming and as we well know, there won’t be Shinobi 2, and both Doppelsoedner and Dragoon’s Rank 8 are damn fine.

So, basically my questions are:

1) Is Doppelsoedner C2 good with this Str buff? It does seem strong and very fun, BUT I would use it with one-hand spear if I keep my Hop3 going. Would it be fun to play?

2) Is Shinobi really as bad as people say?

3) It would be better to keep my Hop3 > Dop1 > Drg1 idea going, right? It does seem Dragoon 2 will be pretty strong.

I would really like to know if Dopp2 with one-handed spear would be strong and fun, however. And lastly, thank you for your opinions, and people feel free to throw any other opinion and vision about the overall Hoplite 3 thing as you wish.

You’re going to need to use 2H Sword, so if you’re willing to switch it’s fine

buggy, but they’re good when we’re talking about low level WBs IF your execution goes through. If you want a shinobi for that, Hop2>Cor2>Shinobi does the job.

It is until monsters start to keep knocking you, pain barrier at sword c1 is just enough for 2 long cyclones+a few skills

Thanks for the answers! I might keep it Dopp1 > Drg1 then. I was going to try Hop3 Shinobi but I saw how buggy it can be, which is sad.

I would keep Hop3 for the bonus critical and damage from Rank 3…

thats a very strong build with full str, with 2h spear you can just basic attack for more than 3k.
hoplie 3 doppel 1 dragoon is the best.
