His program filters the shout box based on strings within each comment. If IMC did exactly what this man did, the comments would just become even more annoying. And it already has, with w_Vv-vv and such to get around the filter. The fact that the spambots had to do that means IMC has already put up such a filter on their own, without boldly advertising it. It works for now because it’s a third party.

It’s really depressing when game companies can’t do something as simple as that. If a random guy on reddit got that working, this just means that IMC is a bunch of incompetent people.

This only creates a filter. Pretty similar to what you can do by blocking the spammer.
Problem is that they did do something as simple as this, it’s just that the Bots know what words are being filtered so they alter their messages accordingly. With this program, they don’t know, since it’s a custom client-side filter, so they don’t know when to change their messages and how to change them.
This is super useful though, that’s for sure. Hopefully IMC can make it so the filter can be edited client-side (Without being able to remove the original filtered words).
Some people says on reddit, that this can solve the screen freeze issue.
It would be goodto know if we can be banned from the use of this external program.
