SP potions, calculations on their cost effectiveness

But you miss out on the 3rd - stable supply

yes sure there’s probably going to be a lot of alchemist around later on, but that doesn’t mean all of them will be crafting potions and put it up on market all the time.

not to mention at initial release, NOBODY will be Alchemist, or that the first few alchemist can put up enough potions on market to satisfy the demands
if all the alch pots on market get bought, what’re you gonna do without the NPC?
or what if the Alchs decide to put their pots up at much higher price, like say 2500?

well its not like people wont have friends lol

im willing to bet alchs will get buddied just to be suppliers for people

or
like i said, people make a 2nd account, farm an alch on it and make their own potions to trade into their mains

i dont think it will be that hard to come around alch pots tbh, especially when the game is out for OBT and more people are playing, if they do overcharge then people wont buy it, and it will inevitably decline in price

during the 1st couple of weeks just keep your skill levels low and use small pots till the alchs come around if for some reason you didnt do that, like you suggested bonfire it up it will slow ya down but thats the price you pay because of how punishing the higher tier sp pots are to consume,

making an alch yourself preemptively to suply another character wouldnt be a bad strat either

Yes,

but as soon as you need lots of sp on a certain timeframe. It’s better to us ethe high alche ones or high npc.

Anyways.

I’m still undecided what class to go first.
I tend to archer … as i want the dps powerhouse.

But farming wise, you need lots of sp pots and you start to get good at later levels (atleast with my build).
So i will most likely make an alchemist, just for money and selfprocurement of pots.
Full support Wiz build xD.

your still slapped with the long cd’s if your using the higher tier pots, so yea alch pots all the way if your gonna be using higher level skills

as for starting classes im just gonna pick good old bokor again xD, if they remain unchanged for iOBT
any class that can farm these new dense zones will make sick bank, especially when they dont need any sp or hp pots for grinding lol

i just hope IMC lets us twink our alt characters, whith a shared stash to let us distribute money and items for the whole account.

Probably will either be a premium service or not avaible.

Atm you need to reduce potential by 2 … or trade recipes and cash, to craft it yourself.

But yeah.

Farming wise … i prolly should make me an Swordy or an High DPS Wiz build.
But heck … i earn money so or so.

It’s just going to be an decision on which of these builds i go for first … which is hard.

Easy Early farming?
Nice DPS after 100+?
Extrem Valuable at Rank 6~7 (Alche Gem roasting, Pots and Magnus Opus …[if i find recipes out])?

You can’t have it all xD.

The good thing is… as wiz you got an easy time farming too.
150% matk bonus against sleeping enemys with an aoe spamm skill.
5 atks with (400 base atk+matk)*attribute! (Magic missle!)
+50% matk bonus and faster cast

Everyone is going on about how op Cryo or Pyro builds are …
Wiz 3 … can hit heavy. And Magic missle is one of the rare multihit (non-dot) skills.

with 300 matk and 50 attribute … that would be 5250 before mdef … just from a magic missle spam.
7325 with magic atk bonus from fast cast.

I know what dps i did as wiz-pyro-linker.
300 dot dps with flame ground and good dps with fireball.
Without linking … i would have died a slow death.

It’s true that WIz3 builds aren’t the best AOE killers at that level …
But with an aoe increase weapon and stuff … they can hurt xD.

You guys forgot about free SP regeneration from Paladin Restoration’s Attribute! Free SP FOR LIFE!

well alc pots are already on the market, they ran out as soon as they were put up.
One also have to consider the weight of these pots. Usually i run around with 3 different set of weapon and armor. So potion weight definitely have to be considered.

And dungeon gave a lot of silver now at 130 dungeon, i got almost 100k per run and since you can do it 5 times a day its quite easy to accumulate silver.

Im expecting IMC to raise the repair prices soon.

Speaking of alchemists, I’ve never read much on them: what are the ingredients necessary to brew their large SP potions? Are they expensive?

in icbt2, the alchemist master sold you the ingredients. They are made of the herbs that some monsters drop, like digelle. You’ve seen a few of them already, for sure.
