SP Costs too high? / Needs new form of SP management

Since the new patch has rolled out, ive came to the problem of running out of sp waaay too fast. Some skills are costing over 300SP to cast.

With the current mechanics of the game, multiple skills are needed to kill a boss/wb/and even regular mob packs. If you are doing saalus I end up using nearly 2SP pots per boss.

The actual SP costs themselves could be viable if we had a better method of sustaining our SP. Potions atm are rather expensive both NPC and Player sold, so we are needing some sort of reliable method of regulating our SP without spending so much silver.

Perhaps the numbers on SP pots could be adjusted so that they perform a slightly less initial SP restoration, and have a longer SP restoring buff that restores larger amounts over a longer period of time (% based as to balance for all classes and levels)

For example possibly one level 15 SP Potion could restore 20% initial max SP, then an addition 10% every 2 seconds for 26 seconds. <-- just an example IDK don’t lose you sh*t over it

Here are my characters that are suffering:
Cleric2>boker>sadhu3>pd2 (4.8k SP)
Swordie>high3>barb>dopel3
Archer>ranger>fletcher>mergen

These builds are all pretty well geared, lolo armour and some purple practo weapon, and they really should not be having the issues that they are with SP…

Anyway just a rant of sort, but they /did/ want feedback so here it… Pls fix sp costs… Or give us another method of managing it

spr give you more recovery potions that help the potions a bit and make sp not cap when using one.

now potions have separated cd (alchemist and item merchant and quest one)

Raising SPR doesn’t solve the issue, One of my chars has nearly 5K SP, and the other has just over 2K, they both still run out too soon, and too quickly, the costs of sp skills are just too high atm

drink 2 potions then, SP potions now overkills your sp usage

if can’t so drink another potions then

ps:3 types have sep. cd

You either use different pots as @TIDMAN said or use a fireplace (yeah, sit and lite one, it does recover fast) or grab gear with SP regen in it. To keep up with with a massive span of skills the least you need is 1k SP regen.

Oh no, you need to use more than one skill for bosses?
And more than 2 sp pots per boss? How will people afford to spend 3k silver per bossfight, minus dropped silver? That’s impossible. Just kidding, of course. :slight_smile:

But to be more serious :
Personally, i don’t really have sp problems on my Doppel and my WL, i just use lv15 sp pots when needed and despite me using several sp pots per run (oh, no!) i still make a huge surplus of silver when grinding or doing bossfights.

Did you try using high level blue gems in your gloves?
If you have a Diev in your party, does he/she use that sp statue to keep everyones sp cost down? Or got any Kabba/Oracle/Enchanter in your party who can recover sp/increase sp pool?
Or use cards that recover sp?

The only issue I had was the cost of pandemic because the range attribute also increases SP cost of it by a whopping 200%
Bringing it up to over 500 sp a cast.
I added some spr to my build but using pandemic once still kills over 10% of my sp
I just got in the habit of spreading black death by draging mobs around more instead of using that skill to save me some sp.
