Is this a buff for sorc or a nerf for afk sorc? Does it mean attacking as in continuing to use skills on its own or just basic attacks like always?

Reason why Iā€™m asking is because I remember seeing one of @LittleSamson video where the summon was using skill(s) on its own without riding. Idk if it was a bugged card or what.

I think it is a fix to a nerf, I would say. Your summons used to stop attacking if you were not in combat for 1 minute, so maybe riding also counted as not in combat, I dont know, so they fixed it. So with this fix it is more correct.

Noob question: can you cast spells when you are riding?

You canā€™t. Devil skills only.

Question: whats the difference between Hold and Attack Ground?
Asking 'cause some builds advice on getting one or the other but usually not both even though both seems to do almost the same thing

Hold and Attack Ground are the same in the sense that it sends the summoned devil to the point you designate. (Targeting system is similar to Fire Pillar or Flame Ground.)

With Hold, the devil goes to the position first before attacking any enemy, and it only stays there no matter where you go. With Attack Ground, the devil moves into position, but attacks any enemy in its path, and if there is no enemy near the position, itā€™ll run straight back to follow you.

Iā€™ve been debating if I should pump up salamion and forget about bats, bats seems to scale horribly now.

Does anyone know which devil has the best stats to use as main card and morph others into it?

The stats mechanic doesnā€™t work. Morph only for changing to 2nd card currently.

With the new skills coming up, better maxed out Salamion and put remaining skill points to the new skills. IMO.

hi guys, i made a thread on gen disc about new card effect values and which cards to keep etc.
would be appreciated if someone here whos tested alot of sorc card summons or have knowledge on them to give some info on each of the card summonā€™s strengths or at least a few of them if possible.

e.g i heard tomblord is good for pvp. so possible format could be likeā€¦
Tomblord - good for pvp because of ā€¦ XXX skill or XXX autoatk whichā€¦ etc.
just a small explanation would be good and even if you can offer only advice on 1 or 2 summons would be helpful

So returned after a year just to see sorcerer still got bugged after all these patches huh. When are they gonna fix both morph and riding bug? I just wasted my runs for dungeon because I was stuck on my summon without the grimoire buff icon to disable it, why would they even remove that

Seriously? Bats is one of the better skills off all classes. 15 bats x 332% (disregarding the attribute) is 4980% dmg, what other skill gets such a big factor? My sorcerer have 440% per bat, i have a familliar gem, 16 bats x 440% total 7040%, if you think it is little, patience. Remember, bats will chase your enemy to death and still hinder you from being targeted. Salamion dmg sucks and the I.A is horrible, lv 1 or lv 15 the dmg scale is pretty bad.

Sorry to intrude on your dialogue, but I have to disagree with you a bit.
I agree that bats are an excellent source of damage if you are full int or if you have a high Matk (7k +) or reasonable (3.5k +) damage is very good. In your case with gem and passive high, with a 4k Matk you get almost 300k of damage (if we ignore the Mdef of the enemy).

But I disagree that the Salamion has bad damage. In a SPR-oriented build, and with a good weapon, the salamion is very good, even more so in PVP it gives blinds and burns (which does not let the archers go invisible.

As I am Sorcerer 2 and Rune Caster, my main sources of damage are Summon and Ice Wall.
My Bats are level 10 and they do a very good damage, my Salamion is level 1 and gives around 30k damage, varies between 23k ~ 30k in PVE, in PVP I never noticed because there is too much to worry about at the same time.

And i am a Sorcerer 3 and iā€™ve tested Salamion lv 15 with a regard horn staff +16 trans 9, Salamion is a 1 lv skill, with lv 1 you can take the blind and burn atributes, you dont need more than 1 point, my bats hits 45K + in pve and in pvp half is more than enough to kill someone. The point is that maximizing the salamion rather than the bats is not worth it.
