Sorcerer Info Megathread

I wrote it down that I chose this specific build knowing that pyro is worse than cryo.

I don’t plan to use any Pyro spells besides Enchant fire and Fire pillar (cc). The other points aren’t even allocated because mostly useless (even with high end stuff, the pyro spells aren’t fantastic)

The SPR interaction as a reminder:

Enchant fire: Fire Property Attack: value = 30 + (([Skill Level] - 1) × 5) + (([Skill Level] / 5) × ((([Character INT] + [Character SPR]) × 0.6) ^ 0.9))

Lightning Property Attack: value = 160 + (([Skill Level] - 1) × 60) + (([Skill Level] / 5) × ((([Character INT] + [Character SPR]) × 0.8) ^ 0.9))

At lvl 250, I have around 480 SPR , Enchant fire is already giving 620 Fire property attack. Around the same for enchant lightning. It is not fantastic but it is a bit more than half a Blessing.

At R9 Empowering will be a nice trick to improve summon damage with a neet +10lvl with 100% uptime.

I’m not debating that my build is better and should be taken, i’m just asking about the skill distribution for sorc.

I want to know if “Summon familiar” has been tested by fellow sorcerer with an SPR build. It is not stated as a spell affected by SPR in the list of the “summoning patch” but could have been forgotten.

@yuriski1st: If your main goal is the summoning based on Skeleton, Summoning , Shoggoth and corpse tower SPR is the way to go. You can also transform 15% of SPR into CON with enchanter shop.

I’m a wiz 2 link 2 sorc 3 sage, full SPR, and I have lvl 15 familiar.

Summon familiar doesn’t scale with SPR.

Salamion is too dumb for me to even put a single skill point in him, most of the time, he’ll be stuck trying to kill tree root crystals or be on the other side of the map, trying to kill another mob, and he doesn’t respond to hold or attack ground.

I also like the familiar + duplicate interaction as it lags everyone’s screen.

Thank you sir.

I guess I’ll stick around 15 in Salamion (hope one day he will follow the same order than Summoning).

I’ll take Desmodus for my remaining points and 1 in evocation (cd really too long).

I agree with you that Salamion is really dumb. And I also agree that Bats and Sage have a very good synergy.

But I confess that I do not give up the Salamion on my Sorcerer C2 simply because my Salamion deals almost 30k damage on each hit.

does enchant fire and enchant lightning work with riding? does it give extra lines? thanks

Sadly no. It is not working with summons. They aren’t affected by any buffs.

Either full SPR to maximize summon damage or go hybrid INT/SPR so your necro skills actually do damage. Not sure which is better though. Personally, I’m going hybrid – I just can’t let go of Pyro even though Cryo’s all the rage at the moment.

im just curious, does warewolf card work with summons, specially when riding?

i just want to see if we can push bench mark damage for world boss/boss runs. thanks

With Hybrid you mean 50/50? Sorry for asking such things but I have neither the money nor the time to try alot of different builds.

Why use Werewolf cards without skills that benefit from attacks from behind?

Looking at some of the new summon videos that popped up; I noticed Lithorex looks like it has a faster move speed than most others while riding. From the existing ones it seems Netherbovine is relatively fast. Throneweaver, Mummyghast and Harpeia also seem kind of fast but not enough for me to slot them in just for moving around faster. As an additional info, Chrono Haste buff also works on riding speed but it has to hit your summon, the good thing about this is that even if you yourself lose the haste buff for whatever reason if your summon is hasted you can ride it to get the benefits lol. Has anyone else here done their own testing for riding movement speed?

Hold your horses! Summons are gonna start using skills again without riding needed?

I’m not sure what’ll work for you, but hybrid means 50-50 INT/SPR for me (with 27 points invested in CON so my HP is touching 32K).

To add some context, I figured that if I threw the remaining points at SPR, my summons would do 320% damage before gear, while my naked matk remains at 200. Throw in an unupgraded Windia Rod and I’d probably have 1,400 matk or so and 420% summon damage when all is said and done. Going 50-50, I’ll start off with 622 matk and my summons doing 217% damage. With the same Windia, I’ll have about 1,800 matk and the summons doing 308% damage.

So compared to the SPR build, I would have 30% more matk and 26% less summon damage. (It’s 30% less If the full-SPR summoner invested completely and only in SPR.) I can live with this difference: my summoner runs on Pyro2, so I have three more multi-hit skills on top of Flesh Cannon.

how are sorc2/sorc3 riders in ET? are there still discrimination in your server?

Have you tried running to “race” against a person that is hasted while riding on a hasted summon? iirc the riding movement was slower than the person running normally (indicating that haste doesn’t work on summon…).

I only did a quick test though, so I may be wrong.

it probably depends on your summon, some of them are really slow (like temple shooter). I’ve tried with netherbovine, I can catch up with the rest of the hasted party even if I personally lose haste (cause I overwrite the buff) when I ride my hasted netherbovine which I can’t do if it didn’t have haste. Then again I only really tested this a few times in dungeons that had a chrono so it’s not as extensive as I want it to be
