so i just found out that you only get the command skills for your devil at C2 , so is the devil useless if i can only get C1? what happens if i summon it will it just stand still?
No, it will follow you around and attack whatever is closest to it. Sorc pet AI is notorious for being pretty bad though, things like prioritizing the traps spawned by bosses and stuff
