Some suggestions regarding resetting ranks and stats

As of now, we only have “Skill Reset Potion” that resets all invested skill points. However, i strongly urged IMC to find a way to help those who have already played till lv280 (and beyond that in the long future). Due to so many changes that will inevitably happened in the near future, their build ends up either getting weaker (pitiful) or stronger (which is obviously welcome).

About Resetting Ranks: Why not give EXP Tomes instead?

i am well aware enough to know that there are people who are for it and against it as well.

Those who are against it are because it might be too game-breaking. such as not having to go through the pains and struggles of a certain build in the early levels, which will only shine after reaching a certain high enough rank.

But those who are for it seriously need it because when there are skill changes or even class changes, the entire build is broken and ruin. Then, they have no choice but to play a new char.

Something must be done. i wouldn’t suggest a full reset of all ranks. BUT how about giving X amount of EXP Tomes for accounts that have X number of high lvl chars? if a char is lvl 100, maybe give 5 EXP Tomes. if a char is lvl 200, maybe 10 EXP Tomes and so on. If an account has 4 lv100 chars, give 4 x 5 EXP Tomes (please also give it in 4 diff stacks. not 1 stack of 20. so that players can give the EXP Tomes to whichever char they need to).

Of course, this is only to be done to a certain extent. If there are only class/skill changes to swordsman in an update, only accounts with at least a lv100 swordsman and above will be entitled. so if you have lv280 cleric, lv200 wizard, lv100 archer = no EXP Tomes for this account from the update. If the update has nothing to do with class/skill changes = no EXP Tomes. If the update has extremely minor changes or the changes are only positive = no EXP Tomes. Of course, this can get pretty subjective. But its better than nothing and having to play a new char through all the way, again and again and again.

Also, if need be, create a new item, a special EXP Tome that give +100% more exp instead of +30%. But at the end of the day, the idea is to reduce the agony of players with builds that got broken due to major class/skill changes.

i am pretty sure IMC has some kind of database software and should be able to find out quickly enough which accounts have what level of characters of said classes. I have work before as a GM (Game Moderator) at a gaming company that helps to service mmo games. So i roughly know what can be done on their end and how difficult or easy it is to do something.

About Resetting Stats: Just sell it

Just do it. Sell it in the TP Shop. how game-breaking can it be when our gameplay experience is already broken enough thanks to certain class/skill changes in certain updates?
