Some questions about Krivis c3 spell Melstis

I have some questions/concerns about this spell.

  1. This is the main question: Does it pause buff timers or does it just stop the buff timer at 1~0 secs. If I have 18 sec of a buff remaining and start channeling Melstis, after Melstis is stopped will I still have 18 sec remaining on the buff?

  2. That mana cost! The mana cost seems to be insane. The only way I can think of to maintain it would be to have a High SPR build for high SP Recovery and then have gear and gems that reduce max SP so that the SP cost gets lowered. How is the mana cost in practice?

  3. Will it share my buffs with allies in the radius? (I’m guessing not as it doesn’t say so in description but one can dream)

The effect is paused, you’ll still keep the time that is remaining on the buff tooltip.

15 Seconds of regeneration potion = Paused during melstis whilst still getting the regeneration ticks, after Melstis ends, the timer will countdown and continue regenerating for the 15 second duration it has.

The cost isn’t so bad with condensed mana potions, also you can freeze potion heal over times, so using a mana potion will allow you to maintain the mana-pool /health pool for the duration of melstis.

No, it will only freeze/pause the duration of allies buffs too.

Thanks for the responses.

I was thinking of making a Krivis c3 Diev c3 build to get a high duration damage immunity buff. Do you think it will be a good idea?

Ofcourse teammates would have to do that runaround on statue thing to get he buff…

I think thats the best possible use of Melstis, and that it’ll be a popular build when later circles come out.

Right now its probably a little weak. Make sure you have a good group of friends to play with, to take advantage of how supporty it is.

It’s a channeling spell, so you’re pretty much risking the life of your buddies when you use this skill and yourself as well.

That and pretty much the probability of your teammates running away from you because you’re weirdo doing that thing and running away just to kill a single enemy is high.

The combo of Statue of Goddess Ausrine and Melstis means a solid 40+ seconds of total invincibility. Plus, it’ll extend other short but insane buffs, like Running Shot(23s).

That’s a pretty solid boss killing strat.

The buff will stop. If you cast 18 second buff, 3 second pass, you freeze with meltis the buff at 15 seconds.

Potions are buffs. You can use a concentraded sp potion and keep healing sp while using it. [quote=“geffreyy, post:1, topic:190902”]

I tot melstis not affecting on ground buff, like diev statue, aukuras, safety zone n etc.

Melstis should be working on “body” buff only, ex: daino, divine might, d.stigma…

Zalcial consider as ground when u place it, last for 4sec, after u step on it will become ur body buff last for 5x sec, so melstis only work on the 5x sec buff.

Correct me if im wrong, bad english sry.

Monk c3 immune any dmg for 5sec buff, should be work with melstis too XD

Where did you find the info that it doesn’t work on ground buffs like statues? I thought that as long as you see the buff icon it would extend the duration.

Monk c3 immune is a channel, Melstis is also a channel. As far as I know you can’t channel two things at once…

If the buff has a duration, melstis will probably effect it.
Most ground buffs do not have a duration.

Would it maintain buff on hit like Kabbalist’s Seven revenge something after taking a hit ? It seems quite op, but the spell seems quite useless otherwise …
